VICTORIA DAY - MONDAY, MAY 19, 2014

We're off to Prince Edward Island today ... via road and ferrie boat. It was 43F and foggy when we left KOA North Sydney (New Harris Settlement) at 8 o'clock this morning. The fog quickly dissipated after we climbed Kelly Mountain and came down the opposite side.

Snuggle bug Robbie in his truck bed with Mark's Carhartt hoodie. LOL

Today's route.

Oil tanker off the Canso Causeway ... Hawkesbury is the busiest North American Port. Who knew?

We stopped at the Irving fuel station just off the Canso Causeway ... walked the doggies ... and Mark got coffee from K-Koach. LOL. Great service! thanks Sue & Wayne.

K's Koffee Koach.

The birthplace of New Scotland, said the road sign (I missed!)

New Glasgow sign substituted. LOL.

Celebration for Victoria Day today, includes Prince Charles and Camilla on Cape Breton Island and then in Nova Scotia and then on Prince Edward island.

We arrived two hours early for the PEI Ferrie ... nice to relax, though. We didn't know how many RVs would be waiting; just us, so far!

Ferry pier.

Ferrie ship prow lifts up to allow vehicles to drive away ... an elevator deck lowers each upper deck.

A logging truck exits the mighty maw.

Mark, delighted to be on "The NFL Ferrie"!

Our RV caravan ... just two is us and 211 cars and three tractor trailers!

Julie ... "Against the wind". Haha.

There's a great pic of Wayne floating around out there ... ZZZ ... still waiting. Haha.

K's came over for homemade pizzas ... and Pepcid ... but Wayne went home early ... he couldn't stand the sisters. LOL.

This morning, viola ... the missing picture!
