Mark and I went on a bus tour at noon and arrived home at 4 o'clock. Sue and Wayne were around and checked on our Scotties. They were walked and given treats. Lucky pups.
The tour began with picking up 14 passengers in all from various areas and then to the old city; founded in 1608 by Samuel de Champlain. At that time, France supported the colony and it is, to this day, a strong French culture.
The old section of the city is completely walled.
The bus tour ... excellent! We couldn't have seen as much in a week of poking about ourselves!
Legislative building.
Cafes are interesting ... architecture great.
The "Furnicular" in the background brings people to the lower level shops in old town, complete with 1600's cobblestone streets.
A cannonball marks the property line. Ha!
Mark, on a shopping mission.
Where in the world art thou??? Red dot marks the spot.
Tonight, Mark cooked spinach and feta pierogies, onions, peas and pork chops. It was good! Afterwards, we finished our Mexican Dominoes game (started last week) ... I coined a new phrase (after a second gin) "Atchy" ... but I have no idea now what it meant. Hahaha.
Tomorrow, we're off to the Frontenac for lunch, or something, and shopping downtown; all of us. Yeehaw!
