FRIDAY, MAY 2, 2014

It's a bright sunny 62° morning. I was unable to add to last night's blog because we had poor wireless reception!  We reserved one night at Allentown KOA. It was a long way off the highway, in the opposite direction. Wayne was unhappy with his site as he couldn't pull right in and leave the car attached. Strike two, no alcohol allowed!!! WTF??? After THAT drive??? So, we compromised. We drank our wine out of coffee cups. LOL. Everything got better after that!

Today, wer're on the road to Clinton Connecticut. We've seen a lot of beautiful trees and nice scenery. Everything is flowering in the towns but the trees in the Pocono Mountains are still brown!

We stopped at Twin Rocks truckstop and diner and had a great lunch. We were back on the road by 12:40 ... 170 miles left to travel today. It's become cloudy, and 56°.  Travel was slow with construction ... potholes were plentiful!!!

These old mountains are charming. Some rock faces are beautiful slate.

At 1:15 we entered NY from I-84. It was a smooth road, here and there. LOL. The brutal winter took a toll on the highways.

Welcome to New York State ...

Mark saw an "old elevator man" along the highway. LOL. Sorry, but, there's an old joke that goes along with his phrase.

Hudson River ...

This is our State for the next few days while we explore!

No, we're not on Easter Island ! Haha. Conneticut Museum.

Finally, after a 7 hour drive we were back at the sea coast. Our campsite is nice ... it nearly flooded two days ago! What a rough spring for the USA.

After a light dinner of appetizers found in both RVs and two glasses of wine at the pic-a-nik table we all called it an evening.

Mark and I put the fireplace on and sat with the Scotties. They travelled so well.

Sue and Wayne are watching a hockey game with their doggies.

Ta ta and good night. ;-)
