OLDE CAPE COD - MONDAY, MAY 5, 2014

Last evening's dinner at "The Bookstore" was GREAT. Wayne and Mark had the best raw oysters they ever tasted! For entrees ... Swordfish, Cod, Shrimp, Scallops and Lobster ... all excellent!

We were all so full, squinting at the setting sun and laughing. It was a great night. LOL

Today, Sue, Mark and I went exploring while Wayne dealt with business.

The Coast Guard Beach ...

Three Sisters ... Relocated from their original position when replaced by Nausett Light.

Antique, hand-tinted postcard of the Three Sisters.

Nausett Light ... freshly painted.

Red house at Cape Cod.

The Dunes on The Cape ... National Seashore contains 40 miles of pristine beach.

Julie ... at the dunes.

Mark carefully took a picture ... it's a long way down!

This shows the height !!!

Highland Light.

About 1:30 we regrouped, walked the dogs and all four went to Moby Dick's for lunch and shopping!

Lunch at Moby Dick's ... Mark and Wayne.

Moby's Mermaid.

Wayne ... (Sue said he looks like Linus with his blanket!) LOL. She bought a mermaid souvenir and wanted some Cape Cod sand for her.

Old Provincetown ... site of the Pilgrims first winter; spent in the harbor aboard "The Mayflower".

Provincetown Harbor with sandy beach along the town (background).

We were so lucky to have a beautiful day!

Tomorrow, we're leaving Olde Cape Cod for points in Northern Massachusetts.
