DIMANCHE, 25 MAI, 2014

Bonjour! Nous allows Vieux-Quebec pour le plasiur aujourd'hui.

(I said) Good morning! We're going to Old Quebec for fun today.

The "Chateau Frontenac" is a beautiful hotel in Quebec City. It is a National Historic Site of Canada.

Wayne offered to drive ... the Escalade fit the old cobblestone streets easier than the Dodge dually. LOL. Sue wanted to shop and had a few retailers in mind. Mark and I went "along for the ride" but of course bought something.

Yesterday, we talked to Randy. Linda had taken another step down losing 11 lbs in 6 weeks. It's difficult to make her eat or drink now; such a sad disease.

Randy took some much needed time off from care giving and went boating with a friend from The Hideaway to Nelson's Fish Camp on the Oclawaha River. That's a trip we'd like to make sometime. Apparently, Randy's friend had trouble starting his boat, and they nearly missed locking through before the lock closed for the night! I'll bet there were some cuss words being bandied around. Randy said it had been very hot at home, already in the 90s for daytime highs! Meanwhile, here in Quebec City, were lucky and it hit 72F today.

We left about noon, had a nice ride downtown and Wayne found a parking spot right near the shop Sue wanted to visit ... "Cool as a Moose" ... and behold, she bought something!!!

Mark and Wayne by the tres chic 1630 Restaurant.

Sue and me by a fountain ... between shops!

Of course THIS was my favorite store ... I bought a beautiful peacock ornament (about 24" long) and a peacock fairy princess for this year's Christmas tree. Perfect souvenir for moi. Mark bought a special mug for his bro, Randy.

Enjoying "Artist's Alley" ...

Sue and Wayne took us to see the Chateau Frontenac Hotel ... Gorgeous!

Wayne and Sue stayed in this hotel during the 400th Quebec City anniversary.

Imagine the stories this guy could tell.

The piano player caught my eye ... Cool.

Wayne offered to pick up Mark and I at the lower shopping area so we could take the Funicular. It's an incline elevator built in the 1800's.

This glass lift saves hundreds of steps to the lower streets.

We were to meet Wayne ... at Spagettin's. Sue found Mark and me nearby and we stood on the curb waiting for our ride. After 5 minutes, we spotted the Escalade a block away ... OMG he's on the opposite side of the road.  So, we scooted across the road to catch Wayne who drove right past us and turned into a bus stop. We hurried ... and got there just as we saw Wayne make a U-turn to the other side of the street!!! WTF? Okay, so he didn't see us ... as we tried to dodge traffic and cross the street again, Wayne started to pull away!!!  I quickly phoned Wayne and said, "Stop! We're right across the street!"  It was so funny, but Wayne was not laughing ... ha!

After Italian dinner at "Mike's", Sue wanted a bonfire. Mark got it started nicely when the rain began ... Wayne, Sue and the dogs sat under the 5th wheel hitch while Mark weathered the storm. We had a lot of laughs.

Shorty and Julius went home to snuggle in for the night. Ta ta.
