CABOT TRAIL ... SUNDAY, MAY 18, 2014

While Sue and Wayne went dancing at the North Sydney Legion last night, Mark and I watched RED DOG, an Australian movie and Christmas gift from our family in Oz. An enjoyable night all around!

Good morning! We awoke to fog and grey skies, rolled over and slept til 9. Our plans were to have breakfast at 10 at the local eatery, then take all the dogs and go exploring the Cabot Trail.

So ... Wayne was hungry at 9 and off they went to find an open restaurant. We will catch up later. Meanwhile, I'm enjoying my morning Sunkist, Mark his coffee and the Scotties, well, fried eggs for their brekkie.

We enjoyed Badaig (Baddeck) visited the Bras d'Or Yacht Club and poked about the town.

The lighthouse sits opposite the yacht club.

Visitors welcome!

This ancient stone building is the post office ... beautiful mullioned windows!

Driving the Cabot Trail ...

Cabot Trail ... scenery gorgeous.

The Cabot Trail is 145 miles of vistas and villages.

Mark WANTS a "Lobstah" boat. LOL

Walking the walk near Cheticamp.

The fishing fleet in Cheticamp.

It's been a lovely time on Cape Breton Island. We had dinner at The Cedar House tonight; warmth and hospitality.

Ta ta for now.
