WEDNESDAY, OCTOBER 8, 2014

Good morning. We're back to summer (although it's October) with a forecast high of 88 today! Somehow this news motivated Mark and he decided to tear out the lariope border in the back yard. We put those plants in about ten years ago, or more. They have grown so full and lush we don't know what might hiding in there. LOL. The plan is to put in red Pentas and reduce the size of the garden area. We have two azalea bushes there, but they have almost been choked out by the lariope. The crêpe myrtle tree we planted at the same time is now as tall as the house! Yes folks, weeds grow 3 feet in one month!

Last evening, we had three Bluebirds visit our birdbath, two Blue Jays, our resident Cardinals, Waxwings, Titmouse, Ring-necked Doves, Chickedee, Black and White Warbler and one squirrel at our birdfeeders. The Bluebirds were the most thrilling as they visited us on their way north last spring! This time, they brought a friend, a third Bluebird! That must be good luck!!!

Our Black-and-white Warbler. Until I took his picture and looked it up, I was saying it was a zebra bird. LOL. Hey, that wasn't a bad name I made up.

Last May, Sue, Mark and I met up with my cousin Bobbie Tawns and her daughter Randi in Ontario. At that time, Randi mentioned Bobbie's artwork.

Here are a few of her paintings exhibited in their local museum! Nice work!

This afternoon, Randy is coming for a visit. He missed two favorite shows and Mark has them ON DEMAND. Haha. Maggie and Robbie are waiting by the door for him.

Robbie has his head on Randy's boot during TV time. LOL

We saw online it's National Pierogi Day ...  and there just happened to be some in the freezer and a fresh sour cream. Yum.

Tomorrow, it's treatment day for Maggie. Right now, she's romping about with Robbie! Nice to see after all these appointments.

Hope your hump day was fun.
