Me and my Maggie "McGee" ... sung to the tune of Janis Joplin's famous song. Haha.
Sue and Wayne left about 10 with a stop in Palm Beach before going north to Sanford to pick up their motor home ... they have a 360 mile day!
Randy took donations to the humane society store this morning. Mark suggested he look for a bowling ball there ... you never know what they have!
Near the exit, we saw a four point buck ... a nice looking healthy one! At 1130, we turned off Florida's Turnpike onto US 60 which will take us to 441 and Okeechobee. We have 35 miles to go! Mark needed a break, so we pulled over at a Pilot Travel Center.
On Highway 441 south, two eagles swept down in front of the truck! Cool. We've seen hundreds of horses and thousands of cattle along this drive. This is a fertile region! The Town of Okeechobee is nice; all the necessities, plus a few big box stores.
KOA Okeechobee is huge! We got settled and registered ... and had our pictures taken. Oh boy. It was hot walking on the blacktop; good thing I had my Coolibar umbrella.
Sue and Wayne left Sanford about 4 ... hope rush hour traffic isn't too terrible. They have the site next to us; if their rig will fit !!!
Meanwhile, it's cigar:30 at our place for Mark and wine:30 for us both.
Sue and Wayne arrived at 6:45, having made very good time! It was a very long day for them, so they are feeding the dogs and having a bite to eat before they come over to visit.
Mark and I sat outside for two hours, and nary a bug. There's lots of water laying about, so they must spray religiously!
That's it for today's blather. LOL.
