It's a work day here, as Mark and Lew shoveled the mulch from the ground-up tree stump. Lew had a use for it so it did not go to waste! It was beautiful, clean fragrant mulch. With that accomplished, we were off to the Home Depot to pick up some big palms Mark had spotted.
A few hundred $$$ later ...
The "Depot" sent this poor ol' guy to help us ... I was more help than he was!
Nice, eh? We wrapped rope around the trunks and transferred some of the weight to the ladder rack so the fronds wouldn't drag on the street.
At home, Mark got two palms planted, between the driveways. Very nice! They will grow fast and fill out to 10' radius.
It was cloudy and "cooler" ... great for working outside. Mark came in soaked; tomorrow's another day! (Our old neighbor from Tennessee is here for a couple of weeks. He has congestive heart failure, COPD among other things ... but he's been pressure washing his driveway, non-stop, all day ... while wearing a pressurized oxygen tank!) He's the man.
Randy was busy today preparing eggplant for tomorrow's feast! Yummy. Dawn was at work ... Wa waa.
I had a busy day with phone calls ... virtual "assistants" ... press "1" ... you know the routine. Aaauck.
Now it's wine:30 ... Cheers!
