THURSDAY, JULY 3, 2014

Well, last evening's Winnipeg News reported "all pipes now thawed" ... what a horrible winter it was! Kyle told us that many of his classmates were absent a good part of the school year due to the severe weather. We are still flooded at Lake of the Woods ... possibly into August!!!

That said, we awoke to sunshine and blue skies ... not a cloud to be seen. The morning was spent on outdoor chores including a ride to recycling center.

Mark and I picked up Maggie's vet results ... inconclusive, but worrying. We have made the earliest available appointment in Minneapolis, Minnesota for next Thursday for a consultation and further tests. :-(

This afternoon, Mark and the two boys finished on the dock for more than three hours. They all had a wonderful time.

Mark put this big guy back!

Tonight, Rose joined us for dinner. Sue made macaroni salad and Wayne did pork chops on the grill. It felt like the first day of summer because we had sunshine all day!!! Wow. Kyle and Gavin entertained us during dinner. They are two characters!

Tomorrow, Wayne is driving into Winnipeg to deliver the boys home. Mark and I are hitching a ride and will visit Gregg and Darlene.
