MONDAY, JULY 14, 2014

Good morning from Nashville, Tennessee. This is our first visit to "Music City"! Sue and Wayne make this an almost annual stop on their trek to and from the cottage.

Mark and I watch the TV series "Nashville" weekly!

The Bluebird Cafe is a set on the show. However, it was nowhere near the downtown "action"!

Reservations are encouraged ... $10 cover charge and $7 minimum for a table. Garth Brooks and Kathy Mattea were discovered here.

You'll be "shushed" if you talk during a performance. Just sayin'

So Mark and I loaded up the Scotties and went sightseeing. It was too hot to leave them behind. Yes, the RV is lovely and cool ... but power failures do happen and RVs heat up quickly!!!

There's a riverboat dinner cruise that might be fun, another time.

Mark thought since Maggie enjoyed the sofa cushion in the back seat and that Robbie would too. That way, the little shorties can see out the windows. (Sightseeing, remember!). There was a space between the two cushions so I jammed a pillow in between plus their spill proof water bowl. Perfect. Off we went. All was good until Mark made a sharp left turn and roly-poly Robbie rolled off his cushion and into the middle ... STILL ASLEEP!  LOL

Isn't he the cutest? I tickled his tummy to wake him ... it was hilarious watching Robbie try to right himself. Maggie watched but, I think, was embarrassed for him. Hahaha.

Downtown Nashville looked like a great place to wander. Next time we'll plan our visit at a cooler time of year.

Broadway was an interesting area. That would be the place for a pub crawl.

We came back to KOA Nashville at 2 o'clock to put the awning down and prepare for severe thunderstorms. Radar shows "a pink hook". Not good. Davidson County is under a Tornado Warning. We're pretty much weather savvy after living in OKC.

Tomorrow we'll start our drive home; about 650 miles to go.

Meanwhile, at the cottage, Aurelia and Tony brought Chessie in their motor home to visit his buddies. It was a great bark fest. LOL. (I know, I was on the phone with Sue!) Haha.

Lookin' good Chessie! We just love your talking bark. LOL

Across the road, Doug and Joanne were taking pictures of Timber.
He's very handsome and intelligent.

We've decided to stay in tonight due to weather ... dinner will be Johnsonville Brats, garlic mashed potatoes and broccoli. We'll live. LOL.

Ta ta for now.
