Mark declared a boating day and invited Randy and Linda to join us for lunch at the Palm Garden. My plans were to have a day in my craft room beading. Oh well, plans changed. Tomorrow is forecast to be 30% rain, so maybe a better day for being inside. Boating it was!!!
It's a rustic spot with a tree growing out the roof ... the patio is nice ... the best food on the river ... and there were plenty of boats coming and going. Linda didn't get the concept of sitting and waiting for service. She was very antsy. This seemed to happen as more people arrived for lunch. Randy was patient and kind; he amazed me.
Robbie and Maggie had a wonderful time looking at the birds and getting attention.
What mom? We're busy!
Two white pelicans and a huge flock of black ducks were in the middle of the lake. They look like an island.
Randy gave Maggie kisses today ... and she liked it ! LOL
While we waited, Mark loaned me his Gators cap to keep the sun off me.
Randy though it looked like my hair "came with" the hat. LOL. I wasn't sure what he meant until I saw this picture. LOL.
Lunch was served, well at least three out of four lunches made it to the table. Mark's platter of "butterflied shrimp" slid off the waitress's arm and landed, splat on the patio. Randy was delighted it wasn't his order. Haha. Anyway, another platter arrived shortly thereafter. It was all good.
Like I mentioned, rustic but nice. That's Mrs R B right behind our table. Mark kept Linda entertained with napkins and a little water for table washing. LOL
Linda "Mrs Clean", Robbie the Bruce and Randy cruisin'.
When we arrived home, Mark went with Randy to Home Depot to pick up lumber for a project he's working on. I was left "in charge" of Linda-sitting. It did not go well. She snuck out the back gate twice! I had to steer her and push her inside! Believe me, she was mad at me! (As Randy would say, "I've been called worse.") LOL.
Tonight, Mark and I are going to relax and watch Olympic coverage.
