Good morning. It's a gorgeous 77° and the sun is shining! Mark wanted to go fishing, so off we went with the dogs for a car ride for minnows. I'm not that big on fishing, but I love boating so I'm halfway there. LOL.
Jim G phoned and I was glad to hear his voice sounded stronger. I can't imagine the depth of his despair ... Joyce was one of those special people who made everything better just by being. We who knew her miss her terribly.
As you will see, I'm still uploading "oldies" onto Ancestry.com ...
Archie & Joyce ... Christmas Day 1937.
There's a story that goes along with this picture. Joyce was expecting an engagement ring ... but Arch bought her skis instead. She told me, "I was so mad, and then his mother came out of the house to take this picture!!! I couldn't even smile." All worked out and they married November 3rd.
Fishing was lousy but the afternoon glorious! Who cares if you don't catch fish? Well, not me!
There was an 8' alligator cruising around "the gator hole".
Just fishin'
