Left Revelstoke KOA mud hole at 9 am following a night of rain for our 200 mile drive to Banff, Alberta. At 48 degrees the clouds are at highway treetop level. Julie is the only one who loves the rain. LOL.
Avalanche areas have snow sheds on the highway; photos below. A dozen on this highway!
Rogers Pass 4500' elevation sign; entering Glacier National Park; glacier pics below. :-)
Coffee break at 11 am in Golden. The rain stopped, just cloudy.
Time zone change, now 1:10 pm. A diesel mechanic at Columbia Diesel in Golden is checking a problem with the Prevost air suspension system. Sue made turkey and cheese sandwiches, so lunch was enjoyed roadside. Meanwhile, Robbie is helping Mark "drive". He's "super-helper"!!! LOL
Crossed Alberta border and Mark spotted a mountain goat at 5,400'. The Rockies are towering around us!
Lake Louise and Fairmont Hotel lured us in for wine and photo opportunity. The dogs went walking in the snow !!! Shorty was quite mad at Randy after getting his feet wet.
Arrived 6:00 pm Tunnel Mountain RV Village 2. Kurian's hosted cocktail hour while Randy made a delicious chicken Caesar salad. The "bromance" continues as Mark bammed-up the leftover chicken soup. Good dinner!
Elk and mule deer were grazing in the campground at sunset when we walked the dogs.
