TUESDAY, DECEMBER 17, 2013

Good morning!  It's 4:30 Tuesday morning and our weather's a cool 53F. Let's get on with this busy day.

Mark decided today is "boat day".  He bought a fin for the motor a month ago to improve planing. Perfect! That means a test ride later.

I baked another batch of Christmas cookies. These are raspberry shortbread, intended for dessert Christmas Day ... if I can keep Mark away from them!

I must confess ... I goaded Randy into Christmas shopping this year. LOL. He's been a Scrooge for a number of years; nothing to do with Linda's current health problem.  Bah, humbug. When Mark and I sent him home a couple of days ago with gifts for under their tree, Randy had a hissy-fit. "You are a pain in my ass!!! I don't do Christmas!!!  YOU KNOW THAT!" said Randy-Man.
"We'll, I do!!!" I (Julie) said. "And I WANT a present!"  LOL.

So, today, while I was grocery shopping, Randy dropped in to put gifts under our tree. Very nice; maybe not heartfelt, but nice. Mark made coffee, and the two of them sat outside and yakked. Randy had to laugh as he told Mark how he wrapped presents in Walmart's parking lot. First, he forgot to buy Scotch tape. Then, he had to run back into the store for scissors!  NOW I understand why Christmas is such a hassle for him. LOL. He's a disorganized mess! Hahaha.

Randy is taking Linda home from the hospital today. She will be on antibiotics for two weeks yet! Obviously it was quite a bad sinus and bladder infection. Other medications have been changed and many stopped entirely. We hope for her to be anxiety and hallucination free!

Mark is back home from a run to the scrapyard where he made $63. Cool.

It's happy hour and pasta night. Mark is pouring and cooking. Life is good.
