Everyone had a great sleep ... despite two trains passing in the night. (All great campgrounds have a train track nearby, it seems!) LOL
Mark cooked bacon, eggs and toast for our delicious breakfast. I tidied up and puttered, while Mark drove RanDawn downtown for a few hours shopping. We'll pick them up about 1 and drive to Tybee Island for lunch at "The Crab Shack" ... with Robbie, of course! There'll be more shopping along the way!
Well, Dawn now knows the rule ...
don't leave your phone (camera) lying about when you go out. LOL. (This was a warning shot!) LOL
Good advice from our favorite Medium!
Did you know that Hallowe'en is a contraction of "All Hallows Evening" or "All Saints' Eve"??? It's an annual celebration observed in a number of countries on the 31st October ... the eve of the Western Christian Feast of "All Hallows' Day" ... or "All Saints' Day"!
We arrived at the Crab Shack, Tybee Island for lunch. There were cats everywhere! Robbie's head was on a swivel! Of course one big tabby had to sit under our table! LOL. Randy moved kitty with his menu. Swish! Ha. Meow.
Is that a new Harley shirt, Dawn?
Even Robbie got into the act ...
Hahaha ...
We came home for cocktails about 430, and ate dinner around 7 o'clock. It was Randy's chili over Mark's macaroni and cheese. A fantastic combination.
We were unsure as to parking downtown on River Street, so left home about 830. Fortunately, we found parking right on River, near the Hilton Hotel. We had drinks at the Shrimp House and listened to a local musician.
Our first photo was photo bombed by a waitress. It was quite hilarious, but then she came back and offered to take this picture. LOL. The ghosts and gravestones tour was a hoot. It was amazing to see the thousands of people in elaborate costumes walking around the streets. We're not talking children, but adults.
A portion of our tour was spent inside a 1700s mansion. As you can see, Randy was able to scare Dawn even with the lights on. LOL.
There was a crazy street fight between a couple of girls throwing shoes and yelling insults. We tried very hard to get a picture, but missed it ... our bus was cheering them on. Crazy fun.
The tour ended with a bang at a ship chandlers museum. It was funny, and one of the funniest things was hearing Dawn scream. Haha. It was amazing to see people walking around the city after 1 o'clock in the morning still in costume. It was a Halloween for the books.
Happy haunting y'all. Ta ta til tomorrow!
