TUESDAY JUNE 30, 2015

Well, well, well ... it's the last day of June, and halfway through 2015. Are you on target for your goals this year? (I'm likely not, but, whatever!) LOL

It's a bright sunny day here in Central Florida. With our morning chores done, Mark is off to his favorite store, Home  Depot, to buy some sprinkler repair parts.  When he returns, we're going to Nila's to pick up our dining room chair cushions. Yay. She promised end of June, and right on. Nice. Now to phone Tom at Simplex and see what day our new front porch will be installed.

Well, what do you think? We like them, and I think they go quite well with our existing decor.

On the subject of our front porch, Tom from Simplex called today to say he had run into a snag. The setback in our neighborhood would not allow us to add our front porch. WTF? This we discovered after all the drawings are done!!! Tom said "we" had to find three properties on our street where a portion of the home less than 55 1/2 feet from the street. We must have been quite a sight, marching down the street, me under a big sun umbrella and Mark toting a huge tape measure. LOL. Within 15 minutes, we had seven addresses where the building did not comply with permitting. So, tomorrow, we shall apply for a variance based on those. That of course means I will not have my new porch in this week. Whaaaa!

Mark was happy today as the company arrived with their stump grinder and finish a job. Now Mark has plenty of mulch for using around the flowerbeds! Right. What flowerbeds?

Mark's been "zero-scaping" for years.

Sue and Wayne had a fun weekend with Tony, Aurelia and Chessie visiting. Now tomorrow, Penny and the wee baby along with Gavin and Kyle will be coming to visit for Canada Day (tomorrow) and staying a few days. Chippy's Hollow will finally have some use this year. (I miss being there!)

LOL ... Nice Buddha bellies. So that's our news for today. Ta ta.

MONDAY JUNE 29, 2015

Good morning. Mark and I were up and out early to get our annual blood work done. When we arrived, there were only two people waiting, and we were taken almost immediately. When we came out of the lab office, the waiting room was full. Timing is everything! Done. Bam.

Then, it was off to Barnwood's for breakfast. It was good, but I sure do miss Olivia's! Mark dropped me off at home and continued on to Kia for the Sorento's first oil change. Me? I had all the morning chores to do. Wa waa. LOL

We started out with a bright sunny day, but it has since clouded over with an 80% chance of rain. That'll be a lovely change! We are waiting to hear from the stump grinder guys and from Simplex who is installing our front porch this week. Yeehaw!

This afternoon, Mark and I did our semi monthly Walmart shopping trip. Hey, it takes stamina. It's not easy dodging all those electric shopping carts! Beep-beep.

Hahaha ...

I was exhausted this afternoon après Wally ... to pooped to bowl? We'll see.

Nope; I got a 2nd wind and we met RanDawn at 6:30 for 2 games. It was good fun. We had dueling dinner invitations for Thursday ... Dawn's night off. Mark offered to cook chicken ... Randy, Eggplant Parmesan (fresh from his garden!). Yep! Randy won. LOL ... We're going there! His EP is awesome.

So, tonight Mark and I are going home for salad with tuna ... and TV. Robbie will be ready for snuggle time. Ta ta.

SUNDAY JUNE 28, 2015

Good day, eh? It's a lazy Sunday morning here, or so we thought.

Baby bear was on a garbage hunt last night. Cute, eh?

So I was up with vim and vigor; tidied up and did 3 loads of laundry. What's with that? Haha. My Monday jobs are finished on Sunday. Nice. No excuse ... tomorrow Mark and I will get our annual bloodwork done, go to breakfast and onto Walmart for grocery shopping. Bam! Done!

We had a very generous offer through Randy to fly to Cancun with friend Greg B. on Wednesday ... returning Friday. It sounded fun, but ... our porch construction is slated this week. (Also, we're not fans of flying anymore; although THIS wouldn't be a packed to the walls commercial airliner.) Thanks for thinking of us. Muahhh!

News from North Carolina's coast is all about recent shark attacks.

Mark spotted this on Facebook ... Haha. There seems to be more Great Whites here than ever before. What's with that, I wonder.

The musical Hello Dolly was fun. Mark and I changed seats as we had a loud "moaner" sitting behind us. LOL. Seriously, I thought someone was in distress! So many people heard it. Haha. After the play, we went to "Uncorked", a Eustis wine bar ... our first time! What a cool place ... loads of fun. There were 28 from our 'hood. Nice group of partiers. We sat with Lynn, Lew, Nancy, Thomas, Carol & Roger ... all lively company. Haha.

Back home, Robbie gobbled down his dinner while Mark made us burgers on rye bread. Delicious!

So that was our Sunday ... Hope yours was good too. Ta ta.

SATURDAY JUNE 27, 2015

It was an early start to our day as we were anticipating our landscaper with the stump grinder. Of course, it's rather like waiting for the cable man. Haha. Anyway, we had lots of odds and ends to do. It would however have been nice to go out to lunch by boat ... but that didn't happen.

Meanwhile, Dawn sent photos of their spot on Siesta Key ... it looks so nice and comfortable ... and the color!
Being near the beach is perfect for this summer weather we've had lately.
Cute, clean looking place! (Mark and I would like to RV there.)

This afternoon, Mark and I watched the movie Ted. It was hilarious ... and definitely not a child's movie. LOL.

I opened my email and found pictures of Jim's project. I see windows are going in!

This angle is coming up from the boathouse.

The stone work on the wall is looking beautiful. You'll be able to see the entire construction on Timber Kings next year.

The elevator at the boathouse. How cool is that?!

Well, it's now 738 in the evening and the stump grinder fellas just stopped by! WTF. They ascertained the situation and will be here either Monday or Tuesday, very late in the day. I won't be sitting about waiting to pay them!

So tonight, we poured a glass of wine, enjoyed a slice of Razzleberry pie and watched Dinner for Schmucks. It was great ... lots of laughs.

Tomorrow, we're going to see Hello Dolly with our neighborhood group at the playhouse. I hope we'll enjoy it, we certainly did enjoy the musical in December. After the play, we're all going to the local wine bar on Magnolia. Fun!

Ta ta. Tomorrow's another day.

FRIED-DAY, JUNE 26, 2015

Good morning sunshine. It's a lovely start to our lazy Friday with a high of 90 forecast. Lovely!

Today, Randy and Dawn are off on a motorcycle ride to the Gulf coast for a birthday weekend of fun.

While they were off playing, Mark (and Lew) loaded the last of our Camphor tree into the Dodge. (Lew lost 40 lbs on Weight Watchers since January!)

Mark hauled the stumps up the truck ramp with a come-along. Cool-beaners! Then, Mark and Robbie made TWO deliveries to the landfill and Robs got a cookie from the girl at the weigh station! No wonder he likes truck rides. Ha. A few $$$ later and the job was done. Tomorrow, our Matt Yoder will have a stump grinder here to take care of the rest. Then ... it's Palm tree:30. Yay. We're thinking of Foxtail or Pinder palms. Price wise, it'll likely we what ever's on sale.

It was eBay listing afternoon for moi ... can you believe there's more "stuff" around here? LOL. I wish we'd known about eBay years ago when I was donating truck loads. The main thing is that all be reused and recycled. Right?

Robbie came to find me at 4:15 ... late for Happy Hour??? LOL. So we poured drinks and sat outside at the bar while Robs chased lizards. It was breezy and 88; awesome!

Tonight, there's a Razzleberry Pie in the oven ... and we're going to "pig-out"!  LOL

After a Pizzazz dinner, it was movie time ... The Green Lantern.

As promised, Dawn sent pics from Siesta Key ...

Looking good ... at the Salty Dog, Siesta Key.

Gulf Shrimp? Yummy.

So that's it for our day! Mark is recording Ted, so that's our entertainment lineup tonight. I'm ready for some laughs. Ta ta.

THIRSTDAY JUNE 25, 2015

Shall we sing? No, eh?

It was a nice start to our day ... not too hot! Finally, we seem to be back to summertime normal with 90 & afternoon showers.

Mark finished the electrical outlet in the craft room this morning...the power had to be off a few minutes, so a.m. was the right time! It's going to be very handy having an outlet at the counter. Sweet!

Randy and Dawn phoned this morning to say they were not going out of town today. We decided to meet for bowling at 6:30 as I couldn't go this afternoon because of game day! (We played Balderdash ... lots of laughs!) There were 12 of us today.

Mark and Randy were first and second at tonight's bowling! Me? The LOSER! Darn. I had some good throws but not a lot of luck tonight. Haha. Dawn had a tough time on that lane too. Never mind, our gutter ball fund did quite well. LOL

Sue phoned today ... they were going for dinner at Donna & Dennis Wallace's tonight. I wonder which boat got the outing? Haha. Julius has been feeling much better ... no seizures in a month! Yay. This weekend, Aurelia & Tony are visiting in their motorhome with Chessie. Sorry we'll miss seeing them ... and platters of delicious cheese! LOL

So that was our fun day! How was yours? Ta ta til tomorrow.

WENNSDEE, JUNE 24, 2015

Good morning sunshine. Robbie had a snuggle session with mom and dad on the bed this morning. He's so cute! What a great way to start our day!

Mark began his electrical project which was adding an outlet in my craft room. Awesome! Randy came for a ride on the bike and had toast and coffee with us. We had a good gab and about 1130 both he and Mark left. Mark to the post office, and Randy, home. We made plans to meet RanDawn for drinks at 8:15 in Tavares at Tiki West tonight. It's "Date Night" ... woohoo!

I crafted two necklaces today for eBay. Proceeds from both will benefit animal rescue!
This is deep pink Watermelon Quartz with Freshwater Pearls.

Aqua Amazonite ... on Stainless Rolo chain.

Mark & Robbie, lumberjacks extraordinaire! Look at the size of that stump! When it fell, I thought it was thunder. Ba-boom!
Our plan is to plant fountain grass around 3 decorative, rope wrapped, pilings with our concrete pelican atop. Ah yes, the pelican! It's on my table for an overhaul. I must do a before & after for y'all. Haha.

So it was a day of finishing ... filing ... fixing ... folding. LOL. Glad that's done!

So here we are at Tiki West ... 1 lb of shrimp for $9.95. Wow, great. Mark and I had Truffle Parmesan fries ... and they were delicious.
It's a strange photo ... Bad lighting at the restaurant. Haha.

Tomorrow, Randy and Dawn have decided to go to Siesta Key on the bike. I'm sure they'll have a great trip ... and we'll miss them.

So, that's it for tonight. Tomorrow is Kris's birthday ... Happy happy Kris!

TOOSDEE, JUNE 23, 2015

Oh, it was quite a PARTAY last night! Dawn made deviled eggs for appies and poured ginormous glasses of wine. Oh boy! LOL. Randy's grilled turkey was excellent (marinated 14 days!?) and the onion baked potatoes awesome!

Randy helped Dawn "cleanup"!  LOL.

After eating, Randy pulled out his Mexican Dominoes set and we finished a game started last week at our house.

Dawn poured a special "baby beer" shots to celebrate her (early) birthday. Now I do not do shots! Ever! Well, I was talked into it for a birthday toast! The party got pretty crazy after that! LOL

Morning came way too early! Haha. We were off to Advantage Dodge for a 9:30 airbag replacement appointment. While in the shop we had an oil change completed. Ka-Ching! The Diesel engine takes a lot of oil!

Randy was at Dr. Young's office when we popped in to make appointments ... so it was "family day" there! Dawn was working a long shift today.

Robbie rode with us to pick up our truck when it was ready ... a nice break in the day for him. He loves to ride high in his "Snoozer" seat!

Back home, Mark began chiseling away at the Camphor tree while I began the monthly paperwork. Ho hum. That's not my favorite job, but it had to be done!

Finally, our forecast is for normal summer weather again! Hooray. Highs of 92 are OK with us. Tonight, there are thunderstorms all around us ... but no rain here.

So that's our day. Now it's relax:30, Betty Ford style. Jon Stewart is coming on; love him, great show. Ta ta.

MUNDANE JUNE 22, 2015

Haha! It's a busy start to our morning ... 3 eBay sales overnight; a car charm, a ring display tree and woman's blouse. Cool.

Mark was up and outside puttering first thing!
This was my view out the front door at 7 oclock. That's what's left of our 40' Camphor tree. :-(

While I photo'd three bracelet sets (made last night) and two necklace sets (made over the weekend), Mark took the packages to our local post office. Cheri, the mail clerk, didn't find her old dog. It's sad. ET was 19, a big mixed breed, had trouble walking and was an indoor dog. Last Wednesday, Cheri was playing on the back patio with ET and her daughter's pup. She thought ET came into the house with them, made sure they had water, and headed to work. When she came home after 5 o'clock, ET was not in the house! It's now been six days, and no sign of ET. It's doubtful with the heat, and the fact that the old dog had trouble walking, that she would still be alive. Cheri feels awful! Mark and I took a drive around her neighborhood last Friday, peering into backyards to see if we could spot her. No luck. Unfortunately, there's a lot of wildlife around our area! She may have been killed and dragged away.

About 10 o'clock this morning, our neighbor Candi came over. We had a visitor last night! A bear left teeth marks on her fence gate when "he" ripped it open about 2:30 a.m.  That's right beside our RV port! Mark checked our fence, but no damage. Friends Carol and Roger at the top of our street had their birdfeeder stands bent right over! Baby bear was on a tear last night. LOL. Up and down the entrance street, trash bags were torn open! We won't be out walking after dusk! Robbie has been on high alert several evenings lately when we've taken him out to the front yard before bedtime.

So, this afternoon, we're meeting Randy and Dawn for bowling. Afterwards, we are invited to come over for grilled turkey breast. Nice! Our plan is to come home for Robbie, so he can come with us for a visit. We have a little something for Dawn for her birthday and will bring it along. We may not get to see her before Thursday as she and Randy are going south to Key West on the motorcycle for a few days.

The gutter ball fund had a great day! $7 ... with all contributing! LOL. Dawn had a strange split that we hadn't seen before!

Guess which pin she got on her 2nd ball?  None. Haha. She threw right between! Randy's going to recommend Dawn as a field goal kicker for Miami Dolphins. LOL

Jack and Greg met for bowling in Pompano this afternoon. How're your scores guys???

Mark and I had a fantastic night with Randy and Dawn. The grilled turkey and roasted potatoes were GREAT! Afterwards, we finished our "started" Mexican Dominoes game. Until I tally our scores, I'm clueless. But, we sure had FUN!

Mark, Robs and I came home about 10 o'clock ... made popcorn and watched Telly. Tomorrow, we're dropping our Dodge off for air bag recall and meeting Randy at the doc's office! Dawn is working, so we're filling in for her as backup.

It was a great day. Tomorrow, another chance to get it right. Ta ta. xoxo

SUNDAY, JUNE 21, 2015

To all the DADS out there ... "Happy Father's Day!" The world would be a better place if all father's were DADS!

It's "Tree Day!" I despise removing a healthy fully grown tree. The original owner of this property planted willy-nilly with no thought as to eventualities. This lovely Camphor tree grows into the powerlines and has to be severely pruned every couple of years! A dwarf tree maybe, in that location, but not a 70' one. Alas, we will replace it with something shorter ...

Randy arrived before 9 and helped Mark with the work. Diane & Kris arrived at 10 o'clock and we all had a good visit til 2ish when everyone headed out; except Kris's van didn't start! Mark hooked up jumper cables to our Dodge got them going! A new battery is in the works for them!

Randy & Kris ... gabbing away! LOL

Now, it's TV time and WE SAT DOWN TO watch the U.S. Open. Puget Sound makes a beautiful backdrop for the golf ... and it's refreshing for the viewers to see the golfers on a challenging course! It's fabulous!

With our weather being too hot for a very hot redhead, I snuck out to my craft room for "me" time; along with Robbie.
Our A/C couldn't keep up today ... so all 3 auxiliary units are blasting cool air too! Ka-Ching! It'll be electric bill "extraordinaire" this month. So far, we've had two weeks of record heat, thanks to a persistent high-pressure ridge over Florida. It protects Florida from hurricanes, and is apparently part of an El Nino year.

Tonight's dinner was prepared on our Pizzazz Plus! We love that gadget! (Thanks again Jim!)

Sue and I got a chance to catch-up on news. Wayne went to pickup a two person kayak they bought from Jim. The idea is to enjoy a paddle on warm (early) mornings on the lake rather than walking every day. (It sounds cooler to me!) Put your PDF's on ... cold water and steep rock walls if you flip it ... er, WHEN you flip it!!! LOL

It's now cocktail:30 ... Ta ta. I hope your day was awesome, too.

Saturday, June 20, 2015

SATURDAY JUNE 20, 2015

Good morning sunshine! I hope you're not quite as hot today! How hot has it been? It's so hot and I'm keeping the bird bath water jug in the fridge! Haha.

Mark and I decided to go bowling first thing this morning. We had bacon and eggs at the bowling alley and played three games. It was good fun. I must have upped my average today from about 116 to maybe 125 or so. My third game was 166! For gimpy ol' knees, that's great. LOL. Mark had six strikes in a row and his highest game today was 203. Nice.

On our way home from the bowling alley, we spotted a gopher tortoise on the side of the road.

He seemed to be unsure where to go and was nibbling on grass. With busy traffic, Mark decided to move him to the brush line.

Such a sweet guy, isn't he!

This afternoon, we will be puttering inside as it's already 92° and not noon yet!

Look who's been enjoying Florida this week! Our wonderful entertainer, Mick Jagger!

Sue and Wayne have been having lovely weather at the cottage. Perfect for chores and getting the place up to speed. It won't be long before guests start arriving! Larry and Maggi are coming for two or three weeks this summer!

Well, today is winding down. Tomorrow morning, Randy will be over to help Mark with a tree project here a Camphor that's growing into the powerlines. They are going to begin taking it down. Meanwhile, Kris is coming over to replace a headlamp on Randy's motorcycle. (We hope Randy got the family rate.) LOL.

That's it for tonight. We've been watching the golf in Washington ... it's rather refreshing to see no one better than five under par! Now that's a challenging golf course! Haha.

I hope you had a great Saturday. Ta ta.

Friday, June 19, 2015

HIPPIE FRIDAY, JUNE 19, 2015

The USA Presidential candidates for the GOP is now complete!
Did you read it correctly??? LOL

Well, good morning! It's been a busy start ... off to "The Yard Stop" shopping for Foxtail and Arecas palms for our driveway area. Wow! Expensive! Next stop was the Eustis Humane Society Resale shop where I dropped off 28 items and bought 10. Haha! See, I am downsizing!!! Then we checked in at Nila's to see how our dining room chair seats were coming along ... tomorrow Nila will begin our project. Peddler's Wagon for some retail therapy and reed oil then good ol' Walmart for wine and a car canopy! I'm worn out! It's hot!

You've seen Bruce Jenner's new look? Well, here's his cat's ...

Tee hee. Hey, you've got laugh about life!

This afternoon, I wanted to bowl but ran out of steam by 3:30. Mark phoned Randy but he was "out shopping" for someone's birthday pressie so he wasn't available! Now it's 4:15 and happy hour ... Cheers!

Thunderstorms rolled in about 4:30 and finally cooled us down into the 80's. Bonnie, in Tulsa, Oklahoma said their weather switched back to hot after "Bill" left the region. Maybe we'll be back to normal summer pattern soon.

Tonight, we're relaxing with wine and my favorite shows, "Ancient Aliens" and "Hangar One". More tomorrow!

THURSDAY JUNE 18, 2015

Good morning. Our oppressive heat complements of Oklahoma is still hanging over Florida today. It's just what I remember from living in Oklahoma City for 1 1/2 years. Hurricane Bill has now been downgraded to a tropical depression and is hanging out over Oklahoma today. That has forced all the Midwest heat over to Florida where we have a high pressure system that's holding it in place. Now I'm no meteorologist, but this isn't going to change until the tropical depression moves further north. Please hurry, it was 88° at seven this morning! Yucky! The birds are scarce, probably hiding out in the shade. I've been putting fresh cool water out for them three times a day!

Meanwhile, Sue and Wayne had a little dinner party with Joanne, Dawn and Doug. You can see by their dress that it was chilly there. How lovely.

This morning, Mark has gone to help Randy with their tree removal project. Randy has a large camp for tree in the middle of his driveway. Over the years, it has gotten so large that it cracked the driveway into pieces. It started, as all job start, as simply a removal of a dead limb! A tree cutting service wanted over $2,000 to remove it, so Mark and Randy have elected to whittle away at it over the summer. Dawn is home today and will send photos of the urban lumberjacks.

Mark pulled into the driveway at 11, looking beat! They took three limbs down and called it a day. Too hot! Dawn was weeding ... no photos.

Nephew Jonathan sent a fun pic today ...
It was a different kind of Throwback Thursday ... they were throwing back some cold beer. Haha. Partiers ... Jon, Jeremy, Paula & Pam. Lookin' good y'all. Pam's visiting Asheville for a week!

We had a nice, A/C afternoon. Haha. I finished listing items on eBay, finally, at 430 items. And, that's after selling 110! What do you have hanging about your place that you don't use/want?

Mark and I started watching a new series called Complications along with a glass of wine tonight. And so I shall wind up this blog early. Hope your day was great.

WEDNESDAY JUNE 17, 2015

Good gosh it's already past the middle of June. Time certainly didn't move this fast when I was working. Some of those days just dragged, watching the clock tick tock tick tock, blah. I highly recommend this lifestyle, as does Mark. It's just too bad that by the time you retire you've got so many aches and pains, you keep Advil in business! LOL

Pam is in Asheville, North Carolina this week. Her text last night mentioned Olivia's wedding plans may be in Ashland, Mississippi perhaps September 12!  Yay! This sounds like an RV road trip coming up! Mark wanted to use the RV by September! I looked online and it will be about 750 miles.

Today is a busy one. I have a ladies luncheon at 11:30 and then Mark and I are meeting RanDawn at the bowling alley at three! Fun and we will burn a calorie!

Mark and Randy were top dogs at bowling today! Yay. We had some real belly laughs, and the gutter ball fund made $4. Haha. With last week's ticket winnings we had $24 ... bought 12 - $2  scratch offs and only recouped $4. Bad gamblers!

Mark spotted an "old elevator man" at the bowling alley and said aloud, "That's what I'll look like in a few years!!! LOL"

It was hilarious ... this guy had a habit of celebrating a strike ball before he got one ... just like Mark does. Hahaha.

The celebration! (Mark's doppelgänger!)

After bowling, we all had a bit of shopping to do then met up at our house for Stavros Greek salad and pizzas on the Pizzazz Plus! Then, Mexican Dominoes! Randy never fails to entertain  us with his antics. Our backs and stomachs hurt from laughing!!! RanDawn headed for home about 11.

Tomorrow, Mark is going to help Randy with tree trimming/removal for a few hours. We're still in a very strange weather pattern. The hurricane that is now a tropical depression is now entering Oklahoma. This resulted in all their oppressive summer heat being forced over Florida! We don't usually get it this hot. Tomorrow morning, it will be 88F by 9 o'clock. Whew.

So that's it for tonight. Ta ta.

Tuesday, June 16, 2015

TUESDAY JUNE 16, 2015

Good morning. It's a sunny one here in Central Florida. Because of the hurricane in the Gulf of Mexico, approaching Texas, our Florida air mass is "compressed". What does that mean for us? Are you feeling hot hot hot??? LOL

Mark finished his outdoor chores by 9 o'clock and has now taken the car to the automatic wash, and his almost daily, LOL, run to the post office! Of course, this will take him past the Humane Society's resale shop and I know he will "have" to stop in. Ha ha, the more I sell, the more he buys for me to put on eBay. It's fun, and addictive.

Speaking of "addictive" ... ABC News had this on TV yesterday ...
Now this is habit worth cultivating!!! That's a KING SIZE bar! Woohoo! LOL

This afternoon was tidy the house day ... and vacuum! Things were getting out of hand with our devotion to other interests/projects. The dust bunnies were starting to breed. Ha.

Robbie received an invitation today ...
Proof we come by our eccentricities honestly ... they run in the family. LOL

Speaking of family, Randy picked up his CT Scan report at the doctor's office this morning and came over with it. Other than being a confirmed "old fart", he's OK ... recheck in a year.

Tree trimmers arrived to top our Camphor tree that was into the power lines. Those fellows worked hard. It was a hot day, but it didn't slow them down one bit.

There wasn't much noise from the saw, as it was a laser operated one Mark said! Cool. When they finished, the yard was clean and raked up! A class act ... but we had some confused cardinals!!!

Dinner tonight was a "Pizzazz" affair! Perfect ... with wine & cheese. We watched the end of Texas Rising; a bit corny, but there it was.

Tomorrow ... lunch with "the ladies" and then bowling with RanDawn. Fun! Ta ta.

Monday, June 15, 2015

MONDAY JUNE 15, 2015

A fresh new day! And I made myself stay in bed til 8 o'clock! Our "summer hours" are great. It's fantastic to be up till midnight, as many evenings are very nice and cool ... well, in the low 80s when we go to bed. Robbie and I had a nice walk down to the circle late last night, but he was on high alert. We think "the bear" is back in our neighborhood. Two weeks ago, we saw a coyote cross the road in front of our Kia on Radio Road ... not too far from where we live. They're out there!

After breakfast, Mark took seven packages to the post office. It's kind of a rip off that packages going to North Carolina must be priority mail postage. It always cost more, but there's no way to figure that into the equation when estimating shipping charges on eBay. North Carolina, Georgia, South Carolina all cost us extra to ship to, even though they are closer than say, shipping to Ohio. Okay, so that's my rant for this morning. Well, that is, as long as Randy got his results from Dr. Young. I'm angry with Dr. Young, as well. Randy's CAT scan was last Monday. The results were on the doctor's desk Wednesday, and when Randy called Thursday, at my urging, he was told "the doctor will call you!" Bull crap I say! Dr. Young wanted Randy to go for this test, so give him the damn results already! That guy is fast on his way to losing three patients, Mark Randy and me!!!

At 10:30, Dr. Young's office phoned to remind me of a follow up appointment tomorrow. What a coincidence! HA. I told the receptionist that I was very angry with Dr. Young because my brother-in-law Randy's CAT scan results have been on Doc's desk since Wednesday. I told her that Randy had called on Thursday, and tried again Friday at 4 o'clock. On Friday, he heard the announcement that the office closes at noon on Fridays. (WTF?) Anyway, I told her I would not be coming into the office until this was rectified with Randy. And she replied, "And how are you related to Randy?"  Grrr

Anyway, I've got that off my chest, LOL, it's a lovely sunny day heading to 92°.

Poor Mark. He just got back from the post office and grocery run; walked in the door as I announced the pirate chest sold! "Great," he said, "guess I have to go to Home Depot to buy a box for packaging it!" LOL. This eBay business is keeping everyone busy. Haha.

At 11:30, we headed over to Palm Gardens for lunch and to fuel up Mrs R B. (I wasn't Mrs. R B after putting in $59 in fuel. LOL)

Robbie took this selfie, pretty good!

The boat ride was beautiful. It was 90° on the way home, but with the wind and low humidity it felt pretty darn nice. Having had three cold beer helped!!!

Yes, we've become those crazy people that put their pet in a chair at a restaurant. Hahaha.

But, as you can see, it's pretty casual there!

That was the highlight of our day. It's now 7 o'clock in the evening, and Randy still has not heard from that damn doctor.

Ta ta til tomorrow.
