Glorious sunny 58 degree morning ... perfect for Scottie dog grooming! Mark has become adept at scissoring and trimming his pups.
Sue and Wayne have gone to Kenora's boat show; a perfect day for a test ride.
Mark and Julie are cooking a pork roast for dinner and puttering around. Bit of a lazy day, you might say.

WEDNESDAY, JUNE 12, 2013
We're off to Redden's to shop for Randy ... a hoodie with an Indian on the back. Sue, Julie and Mark are the shoppers.
That was an interesting store! We found the hoodie for Randy plus a bargain fleecy for $10 ... then off to Walmart for Mark's favorite fish bait. Dang! Sold out of the best bait. Our fish fry is on "hold". :-/
This evening the four of us are going to Borelli's for Italian. No cooking tonight!
While walking down the flagstone to Chippy's ... I got a pic of chippy on the bird feeder. Cute, friendly little guy! Sue is busy getting the short bird bath cleaned up for him. Quite the service around here for wildlife. LOL
Mark installed the new air conditioner and Julie cleaned windows. It's nearly cocktail hour!
Dinner at Borelli's was excellent. Kenora is having a new car and boat show tomorrow so we wandered the docks previewing. The float planes are relics from 50 to 60 years old. Home to watch hockey at 8.

TUESDAY, JUNE 11, 2013
Here on the 49•47' Latitude, the daylight lasts 18 hours at this time of year. It certainly interferes with the body clock unless you block out the light entirely. Julie has her own method ... a black sock over her eyes for sleeping. LOL.
Mark caught a 3 lb. walleye off the dock this morning ... a start for an eventual fish fry dinner. Tonight, Sue and Wayne are in charge of dinner! It's nice to share the meal plans.
Wayne is dealing with a California boat trader this morning while Sue balances the books. After lunch we're going into Keewatin for wine.
Linda, Randy, Jill and Bob popped in for cocktails. It was a beautiful sunny afternoon so we enjoyed wine and conversation on the dock. They are going to Winnipeg tomorrow.
Sue made a delicious salad with avocado while Wayne BBQ'd chicken sausages. It is still as bright as day even though it's evening! Canadian summers are very nice.

MONDAY, JUNE 10, 2013
It's 54 and drizzly this morning ... perfect for a visit from two deer. Sue got a nice pic from her front deck.
The sun appeared at 2 o'clock and we warmed to 70ish. Mark is preparing Shrimp Scampi for tonight's dinner ... Sue and Wayne are coming here, to Chippy's Hollow. Julie baked a pineapple cake and hung a new picture ... of a chipmunk, of course!

SUNDAY JUNE 9, 2013
9 am and into Kenora for Sunday breakfast at "Yesterday's" ... $5.49 for 2 eggs, home fries, bacon or sausage and toast! Hal Hardy and Neil Carlson, RMYC members, were having breakfast there too. They recognized us and came over to say hello.
Back at Chippy's Hollow, Mark setup a spring-closure gate to keep Robbie from escaping to see his girlfriend, Auntie Sue. Randy thinks Sue puts chicken grease on her leg as Robbie likes it so much!!! LOL
Tonight, Mark and Julie are going to see Linda, Randy, Jill and Bob for dinner at their home in Clearwater Bay.

KENORA to KEEWATIN - JUNE 8
Mark and Julie are moving their rig to Kurian's driveway then 'moving' into Chippy's Hollow for summer. While buying supplies at Walmart, Mark couldn't believe how pleasant the male cashier was. "What do you have planned for today?". (Moving). "Really! Where are you from?". (Florida). "Wow! And you traveled all that way to come to Kenora. That's great!!! Is this your first time here?". (No). "Then you liked us enough to come back! I hope you have a wonderful stay and travel safe!". (Thanks).
I needn't mention 90% of American cashiers have trouble uttering "Is that debit or credit?".
Linda and Randy have arrived at Bob and Jill's in Clearwater Bay and at last conversation, were sitting on the deck in the sunshine. Mark and Julie have been invited for there dinner tomorrow,
Sue and Wayne attended the first dock party of the season last night. They are cooking chicken on the barbecue tonight, and we are invited. Nice. :-)
There was a crazy gathering of crows this morning ... about 20 of them making lots of noise. The neighbor next-door to us here at Anicinabe will be happy to note the nuisance crow seems to be gone. For two days, the nuisance crow was pecking at their bumper and anything shiny on their motorcoach. There are actual paint chips from the bird!!! We are sure happy that our rig is not as shiny as theirs. LOL

KENORA, ONTARIO _ JUNE 7, 2013
Mark went to hookup the water system at Chippie's Hollow. Wayne got the main cottage water going yesterday after repairing frost damage.
4:00 pm ... Sue and Wayne are going to a dock party hosted by Heather and Bruce ... Julie and Mark are going to dinner and shopping tonight.
It was a good day's work and tomorrow we will be settled in at Chippy's Hollow.
Husky the Muskie survived the winter!
