WEDNESDAY, JANUARY 8, 2014

Good Wednesday morning y'all. It's a chilly start to our day, temperature having dipped to 39°F overnight. Waaa ...

Mark had the fire blazing when i got up this morning full of vim, vigor, aching back and stiff right ankle. Haha. I began  laundry, cleaned bathrooms, installed handles on the refinished furniture, sorted clothes and readied a bag for donation. That was before my first diet Sunkist orange of the day!!!

Isn't it funny, when you've put away "Christmas", there's always something you missed!!! This year, it was a large bundle of glittery ting ting. After I bagged it, and squeezed it into the storage closet, I had to vacuum ... there's enough glitter in this house for a brothel.  LOL

Meanwhile, Mark drank coffee, fed the Scotties, uncovered our delicate plants (the freeze passed) and went grocery shopping. This a well oiled machine, er, team needs chiropractor, massage therapist and pain killers!!!  LOL. Like Mick Jagger sings, "What a drag it is getting older."

Last night, we went to the Olive Garden for dinner with Linda and Randy. It was chilly in the restaurant and Linda insisted on keeping her gloves on. (Our Mom was always cold and wore gloves inside, too. Lin was actually wearing our Mom's old gloves!) Randy ordered salad and soup for them, Mark and I ordered dinners. Everything was fine during the salad course although it was difficult for her with gloves hampering. But, "No!" Linda didn't want them off. She was frustrated by the time soup arrived. We ate in relative silence until Linda reached for Randy's wine and chugged it down. LOL.(Randy hasn't been giving her any wine since a medication change last July.)  Mark quipped, "Chip off the old block, I see ... and she's wearing Mom's gloves." That started Randy giggling, then Mark. Minutes later, they both had tears running down their faces. This didn't help matters as Linda didn't get the humor and jumped up to leave. When we drove away, Randy was in his truck, still laughing.

This afternoon, Mark and I tried to connect the Florida room TV to the Panasonic home theater, and to the Magnavox DVD/VCR player. We were careful not to pull the cables from the back of the Visio when moving it from our living room to the sunroom. We thought it would be easy ... TV on the stand, feed the wires through and hook up the two components. Viola. Nothing. WTF. An hour later the TV was working with internal TV speakers only.

Wine:30 while we think about WIRES.
