The new TV setup is done! Of course, a cable was missing for the Blu-ray player! Mark went to Walmart for two cables, an HDMI and shorter coaxil. We're very pleased with our new system and livingroom arrangement. Yay.
Here's a "Before" picture ...
After:
Next, we moved the 36" heavy beast from our Florida Room to the trash. It's a total waste of a TV, but no one wants it!!! We called Habitat for Humanity and Goodwill, but "no thanks!" Our 46" Vizio replaced the beast. Of course it's not quite as easy as that!
I disconnected and labeled all components from the beast. We have duplicates of everything ... it's so confusing! Mark didn't want to part with either TV stand ... so screwed them together and he will paint "it" tomorrow!!! So, it's wine:30 and we'll start fresh tomorrow.
Randy and Linda dropped in, Linda was all spiffed up in her Harley duds, having been at a Gator Harley "free" party.
There was a little excitement today when I saw a van with trailer and lawnmower enter our neighbor's driveway. The house stood empty since Jack died and his grandson joined the army. Mark phoned Lew and together went to check on the situation. Two men were already in the house when Mark and Lew arrived. Lew went to the door with his hand on a gun and found two black men poking about. Meanwhile, Mark took pics of their license plates and van. The men came outside and the story was "It's a bank foreclosure and the bank sent us to look around!" They left quickly and Lew phoned the deceased owner's daughter. She said the bank had not taken over and no one should be there. So, the police were called, arrived, entered the house and looked around. Mark went over with his license pictures. Way to go!
