ASHEVILLE TO LEESBURG, FLORIDA

Wednesday, September 5, 2012 at 6:45 AM it is 73° and cloudy. We are heading HOME after being away 20 months !!! Asheville North Carolina to Leesburg Florida is 558 miles so our ETA is 6 pm

We passed a trucker hauling huge trees and missed the only rest area in South Carolina! At 10 AM, 35 miles from I-95 we stopped at a Hess for fuel.

At 10:37 AM we are on I 95 in South Carolina. The road is rough.

At 11:59 AM we are at the Georgia welcome center and hope for better roads. By 2:04 PM we crossed into Florida.

We have lots to do when we arrive home as we have been awake since February 28, 2011 we sent a load home in our Buick from Oklahoma ($550).

At 2:55 PM we are at the Travel Center, exit 329 for a fuel stop and to walk the kids. $4.36 a gallon when it was $3.96 in SC. WTF?

At 4:25, we took I-95 to I4W to Deland, ethen 44 to Eustis. We are enjoying the nice Florida roads. This is a very long route though going through Deland, and we now have two lane with no shoulder!

WE SHOULD HAVE TAKEN I-4 TO SANFORD.

We arrived home at 5:35 PM, 48,950 miles on the Dodge.
