WEDNESDAY AUGUST 12, 2015

Good afternoon. The day has gotten away on us and it's now 13:30. Actually, we were up at 7:30 and started into our housekeeping chores. I used the dust mask Mark bought me while polishing the kitchen granite countertops. It worked quite well as I did not have a coughing fit! Yay. I can breathe. Haha. Robbie was happy this morning too. He found his favorite squeaky ball while Mark was vacuuming. We still don't know where it was hidden, as we had looked everywhere and under everything! And yet, there he was with ball in mouth! Of course we had to stop what we were doing and have a 15 minute play session. Were you aware we have a Scottish retriever?

Although there are a few spots to touch up, Mark has finished 99% of the kitchen backsplash. I love it! Isn't it fantastic when a job turns out better than expected?

Everything looks so nice and tidy with the new backsplash!

After our morning of dusting and vacuuming, Mark took two packages to the post office. EBay sales continue to be good. Of course, right after he got back home, we had another sale. Ha ha. Never mind, we will take it to the post office when we go to meet RanDawn for bowling at 4 o'clock.

Another little job I had took about two hours. I wrapped the wedding gifts ... the big oval mirror, a box of champagne glasses and something "old." We had Mary's "Jolly Roger" Toby mug from England. It seemed a perfect heirloom to give Olivia on her wedding day from her grandparents, who are no longer with us.

As you can see, I whipped up 3 package decorations that Olivia and Derek might use as Christmas tree ornaments. (Shades of blue are their colors!)

Bowling was good fun with $1 games and $1 drafts. Our flying gutter balls were great. Haha. Rich came by to say that FGB's don't count. Well in our game they do. LOL

We came home to feed and walk Robbie. Dawn has the magic touch ... Robbie rolled over and showed his belly for a scratch!

About 7 it was off to Ichiban we went! Of course the food was great ...

Randy AFTER DINNER. Haha.

Randy was so full of shrimp "everything", he couldn't sit up. LOL ... he said we put a hurtin' on the restaurant tonight! I'm thinking Randy's the one hurtin'. Haha.

Tomorrow, it's eye specialist for Mark in the morning and Ya Ya's at Cindy's in the evening. That's it for today!
