Robbie loves his backyard! Lizards abound! Don't worry, the lizzies are fast and hide well.
Randy's garden is flourishing! Fresh salads coming up!
Our Bougainvillea is full ... it's so nice to see it through the living room window! Ah, spring!!!
This evening, Yaya's is at Sharon's house. I know Sharon, and she'll put on a large spread!!! She loves to cook and to bake and treat her friends very well. It's the last Yaya's I'll be able to attend until fall ...
Linda and Randy are dropping by this afternoon. Randy needs a couple of two by fours and thought Mark might have some squirreled away. He does! Two nights ago, Linda had a very bad fall. She got up from bed at four in the morning and tried to escape some demons ... and ran straight into the TV bureau and fell to the floor! Randy felt horrible he couldn't move quick enough to grab her. When her head hit the floor, he said it sounded like a melon. The first words out of her mouth were "I'm okay."
Alzheimer's disease is debilitating, for the entire family. It's an absolute horror show. We all want to spend time with her, but she wants to escape us now. Linda is living in her own world, unknown and unseen by us. I feel extremely sad today.
Mark just got home from Winn Dixie ... we very nearly had a Jack Russell dog! The poor guy was running around the parking lot. Mark picked him up, and tried to find the owner. Finally he went into the store, holding the little dog and asked a clerk to take his phone number in case someone was "looking". When he walked out the door, Mark noticed a "redneck" looking around and called to him. The long and short was, yes it was his dog; "He don't mind me! I told him to stay in the car!" WTF? This goofball had 3 other dogs in his car with the windows wide open. Mark said to him, "You're lucky I'm going on a trip and have two Scotties at home or I would have taken him!"
Linda was placid today. The extra medication at bedtime slowed down the panic modes. It was a good visit. :-)
Do Scotties like to eat Jack Russell's.
