SUNDAY, DECEMBER 8, 2013

Ho Ho Ho ... "Siri" types my Blog as I dictate and often she throws in an interesting substitution!  This morning, I said Sunday, December 8, 2013 and Siri typed "Someday, December HE, 2013". "Someday" is a funny family story ...

When my mom and dad immigrated to these United States, they bought rental property. Dad hired many interesting characters over the years; George the painter is but one. Needing help with the complex exterior, Dad resorted to the want ads and found George; a congenial fellow who came straight away to see the job and agreed to start work Sunday. During the week, Dad bought paint, assembled a work area and arose early Sunday morning to greet George. He waited and waited; no George. Mom suggested Dad had the wrong Sunday and "simmer down".  The following Sunday, Dad did the same routine, no George!!!  He was furious; phoned half a dozen times before catching congenial George.

"Where the hell were you Sunday morning??? Two Sunday mornings!!!" said Dad.

"Mista' Archie, I no say Sunday, I say "Someday!" replied George.

Things were indeed different in South Florida. LOL.

Linda and Randy arrived at noon for a boat ride to Crazy Gator's. It's 82F now.
