SATURDAY OCTOBER 24, 2015

Good morning! The door's open ... coffee brewing ... CBS news on. That's how we roll. LOL

News from downunder, Miles and cat Chris had a lazy morning reading in bed. Cute pic, eh!
Chris had leg surgery a few weeks ago. Mel said he walks with a limp now. Maybe he will recover more mobility as swelling reduces further. Hope so!

Plans for us today ... a pontoon cruise to nowhere.

Can you see the rainbow prism in the cloud? (Mark can't!)

The fall leaves are gorgeous along Haines Creek (Central Florida).
Are you surprised by the autumn colors? The deep reds are River Maples.

Cruising and chilling on "Mrs. R B".

We called Randy to come for a ride but he's driven to get the master bedroom painting finished. (Yesterday, Randy painted the master bedroom feature wall the bright "Island Breeze" color.) He hoped to surprise Dawn, who was working, as he had told her he was watching TV. Well, the surprise was Randy's. LOL. Dawn didn't notice!!! Haha.

This afternoon, Mark and I filled the hot tub. We used half soft water and half well water. Everything went swimmingly well until we tried to turn on the Jets. They lost their prime during the summer when it sat empty. Of course, all we got was an error code Pr. WTF? Of course, the first thing I grabbed was my phone and checked it on Google ... Pr = No friggin' prime. Haha. I found our owners manual and read it. We tried the instructions twice, but no luck. Fortunately, Sue phoned and made the suggestion, when she heard of our problem, to check on YouTube. that was the best advice. The first YouTube site I checked, I looked at it and then showed it to Mark. He got a hammer and screwdriver and within five minutes it was working. Yay.

This evening, Mark and I are relaxing at home. Sue and Wayne went to the Elks dancing with Les and Margie.

That's it for today's report. It's time to see if Rick and Ruth have posted anything today!

FRIDAY OCTOBER 23, 2015

Good morning y'all. It's a bright beautiful sunshiny day here in Central Florida. It's 66°F now and forecast to be 84° later. We'll take it. LOL

This morning, Mark went hunting to his new locale. The only thing he saw was two big dogs roaming the woods. (They are not supposed to be in the woods during bow-hunting season.) Anyhow, he came home about 11 o'clock believing his Ocala Forest favorite site is better.

I did a little housekeeping this morning which included spraying cleaner into the toilets. Now I am coughing. I'm officially allergic to housework. LOL

Pam was surprised on her birthday by daughter Christine visiting from NYC.
I'm sure Christine's arrival made Pam's day! Nice photo.

Christine, Aunt Betty and Pam.

Randy spent his day painting the master bedroom. Dawn didn't know he was starting the job yet so will be delighted when she gets home tonight.

Did I mention we have a new restaurant opening on Lake Eustis with docking?

This afternoon, we are meeting Randy about 3 o'clock for a few practice rounds of bowling.

When we came home at 5 o'clock, Robbie happy to see us. Mark carved a broiled chicken for our dinner and added some to his bowl. Lucky wee boy!

We played three games and all did quite well. (I had a 143 game ... and the other two 115 and 120.)  Mark always does well ... in the 160's.

This evening, Mark is making homemade chicken soup for tomorrow and we're going to sit down and watch our show "Blacklist". Ta ta.

THURSDAY OCTOBER 22, 2015

Happy Birthday Randy-Man!
A special evening is planned for Randy-Man's 36rd birthday. (Y'all know I'm dyslexic, right?). Dawn is cooking sheesh-ka-boobs on the "Q" tonight ... I'm bringing Mixed Berry Cobbler (aka dump cake) for dessert. Hey, I would have make a fancy chocolate layer cake, but THIS is what he likes!

Randy was happy with his birthday gifts. Dawn got him a deep skillet pan (Mark and Kris are jealous!),  a shell candle holder from us and cool "cardboard" card and Harley clip from Kris.
Remote control seashell candle.

Mark and Randy ... doing???

And here are masterpiece kabobs!
Delicious!

Kris arrived with a cool birthday tribute on cardboard. Randy said it was worthy of the Harley garage wall. LOL. Cool.

BBQing s'mores??? ... er, no, that's Randy's birthday cake!

It looks like this was a good birthday for Randy. Many more, dear brother-in-law!

WEDNESDAY OCTOBER 21, 2015

Good day y'all ... it's a sunny 72F for our start. Mark had an early morning eye doc (recheck) appointment ... and a stop at the post office. (After saying Ebay was S-L-O-W we had 3 small sales.)

Now that our RV is back home, it's time to wash and load it; ready for next week's Savannah Georgia trip. (And a Sarasota, Florida "rally" after that.)

Today is Mark's sister Pam's birthday. We will be certain to call and sing for her. (We don't sound great, but it is what it is!) LOL. Hopefully, she'll come for a visit this winter ... maybe when "Cuz" Donny's here?

Good news from the science community for Dawn ...

as she eats 2 slices everyday with eggs for breakfast! (That's why she's so smart!)

Dawn, here's the photo of Rod Stewart that I couldn't find last week ...

Mr. "Da Ya Think I'm Sexy" is now Seventy ... and, yes! LOL ... I recall buying that album (as we called an LP in the day) at Eaton's on Portage Avenue in Winnipeg.

This evening, we are meeting Kris, Randy and Dawn at Ichiban for supper. It's time to wear the stretchy waistband. LOL. Randy and Mark will put a hurtin' on the peel and eat shrimp. Ha!

Later ... dinner was GREAT ... such an assortment! It was good to have Kris join us ... and he got an invitation to RanDawn's for birthday dinner tomorrow!

Randy and Dawn stopped in for a glass of wine on their way home from the restaurant. Just a slight detour. As you can see, Robbie was happy to have them visit. We watched game 4 of the Mets and the Cubs. Score 6-1 now. It's not looking good for the cubbies.

Well, that's it for today. Ta ta.

TUESDAY OCTOBER 20,2015

Oh it's nearly Halloween ... we'll be in old Savannah, Georgia that day. What to wear???

Avery and Crystal at the pumpkin patch

Hilarious, huh.

Well, it was a putter about day for us until Giant phoned about 2 o'clock. By 4, we were on our way back home with it! No smell! Yay. We got 2 new deep cycle batteries, water heater anode replaced and tank cleaned, and 2 vacuum line dooies installed. $323 parts and $100 labor. Not too bad considering all the troubleshooting! We signed up for their annual rally in Sarasota this November and one NEXT October in Fort Wilderness (Disney).  The Disney park fills up fast ... just 55 sites available and we were the 20th to book!

Diane posted a great picture on FB today. Kris has been working diligently on this Rupp for her.

She's pretty wild looking ... and the bike too! LOL

The Blog is short tonight as I can't get pics to load. Grrr ... more tomorrow. Ta ta.

MONDAY OCTOBER 19, 2015

The Sycamore tree's leaves are turning yellow! It's a cool (59F) this morning! What a treat after a hot summer. Doors open ... Ahhh!

Olivia posted wedding photos ... and there we were!
Mark & Julie, Derek & Olivia, Pam, Marshall & Savannah ...
Marshall carried yellow roses to the chair Marcy would have sat in. (Olivia had a locket with Marcy's picture on her bouquet.)

At RanDawn's, Dawn bought a "Fire Cracker" plant for their frog planter. Now Randy laughs whenever he looks at it ... a frog with a Mohawk! LOL
It's crazy cute & a little bit wild, huh? (Just like Dawn!) (Ha ha!)

Jim's "cottage" is now getting the finishing touches. Here are a few pics ...
We are looking forward to seeing it next summer!
Wowsa!
Gorgeous!

Giant phoned first thing this morning. The charging converter is working although it took awhile "to get going."  (I'm not in the know when it comes to electrical stuff.) The techs checked other electrical equipment and replaced a component in the kitchen and ordered one for the bathroom vanity. Apparently they are inexpensive. Anyway, we're pleased that GRW is thorough. We'll pick it up tomorrow.

This afternoon, Mark and I bowled 2 games ...
6 strikes in a row for Mark ... and a 217 game. Wow! (My next game was 115 ... a bit better!)

Tonight, there's some good TV ... so that's it for now. Ta ta.

SUNDAY OCTOBER 18, 2015

Good morning. The cycle of life hit me with a Facebook reminder today ... 5 years ago today Shiloh was laid to rest. Robbie hadn't been born yet ... and often I have called Robs the wrong name. These dogs sure steal a hunk of my heart.
Shiloh, aka Cutie-Patootie, at age 12+, our Southern Gentleman! Poor guy needed eye drops 3x a day ... he'd come to us, sit up and wait. Such a darling soul. We miss you still ...

Mark and Lew went tramping in the woods this morning. It was a perfect day for that, and they enjoyed themselves.
There's a little mud on Da Mounty ... notice Lew's gun. Small eh! (Lew lost 40 lbs on Weight Watchers this year and needs his hunting pants taken in!) LOL

Yesterday, Julius and Shorty had their photo taken after grooming. I bet I'll see it on Shih Tzu rescue!

Julius and Shorty Hotpants ... good lookin' Shizzles!!!

Across the pond, Patrick Tawns rowed for the Brits today.

Thanks for posting this pic Alastair ... OMG, Pat's so tall! Lookin' good!

My pal Bonnie is fabulous ...
married life looks good on her. Nice photo, Roger. (They are going to be very busy in a few weeks ... Scottie girls Diana & Belize are BOTH pregnant with 7 puppies expected. Oh what noisy fun!!!

The sire of Knopa, the 2015 Best in Show at Crufts, is the sire of Bonnie & Roger's two Scottie gals. Healthy, sound  Scotties are in the works. Yay.

Well, it's tree trimming day at our house. Mark is up the ladder and I'm going to try and help, somehow. LOL. We shall see. (I did rake debris and pick up sticks. The job was done in an hour. One more to do next "Palm" Sunday then it will be finished for the winter!

Tonight, Mark is cooking Mom's porkchops and rice dinner. Yes, it's my favorite.

How was your Sunday? (Gorgeous here ... windy & 77).
