TUESDAY, APRIL 22, 2014

Good morning world, it's a brand-new day! Mark washed all the vehicles before I was up ... and was mad as hell at our beautiful tree between ours and Candi's driveway. Every spring, as the tree first greens, a flock of small gray birds arrive; eat the buds and magically poop what looks like red wine stains! Amazing. Well, I was amazed ... Mark, not so happy. LOL

Last evening, Mark and I went to visit Linda and Randy for a couple of hours. Linda was in pretty good spirits, and sat at the dining room table with us to eat her dinner. It was really good to see her interacting; this hadn't happened in awhile.

Today, Randy is taking Linda to a care home for possibly five days. Hospice has arranged to give him a respite from his caregiving. We hope it works out, as Randy needs a little breathing space. It'll be tough on him with us out of town.

Tonight, we met Randy at Ichy Bon restaurant. It was delicious. When invited Randy to come home with us for a glass of wine, but he was exhausted and headed home for a quiet evening.

This is the beautiful chandelier at the entry of the restaurant. It has a lovely purple and turquoise glow. LOL ... I can picture Scott enjoying this buffet!

It's time for me to sign off and finish loading the RV for tomorrow's trip! Ta ta.

MONDAY, APRIL 21, 2014

It's a busy day ... paying bills, Mark's eye doctor appointment, my mani-pedi for the upcoming wedding, cleaning house; you've got the idea!

So, since this day "has gone to the dogs", so to speak, let's enjoy some cuties ...

Julius and Shorty ... watching their parents, Sue & Wayne, pack.

Cutie cuddles ...

EASTER SUNDAY, APRIL 20, 2014

We wish you a very Happy Easter!

Hope you found special treats today. :-)))

Cindy and Paul cooked for us today! It was a wonderful breakfast celebration, starting about 10:30.

The table looked beautiful; plus a fully decorated chandelier over their dining table.

Later, Cindy showed us the different types of glass torches in her studio. (I want one for silver work.)

About noon, we went home for the Scotties, then regrouped for a drive to "The Hideaway". "Anita Drink" was playing today, a band with a former guitarist from Deep Purple ... excellent!

Lew found a table further away from the speakers ... eventually, we joined him.

Lynn tried and tried to whistle. It was funny.

Cindy and Randy had a good laugh watching Lynn try to whistle. (You had to be there. Haha). Of course Randy had everyone laughing at his quips!

About 4 o'clock, Mark and I went home to feed the Scotties before going back to Paul & Cindy's for ham sandwiches and dessert, with more champagne! It was a fun day! Not one couple heard from their kids today. Haha. We all decided to spend the kids' inheritances.

Finally, about 6:30 we were home for the night. It was a good day with friends !

SATURDAY, APRIL 19, 2014

Well, good morning. It's a beautiful day, going to 82° ... We had a great time last night at "the Hideaway ". Flo was interested in a ride on Randy's Harley, so that was arranged for today!

They've gone to "Nelsons" for lunch ... a nice hole in the wall that Randy knows. LOL.

This is Flo Tawns, "Americanized".
She looks great !

About 4 o'clock we loaded up to drive Flo to Orlando airport ... her week's visit went by quickly! She's on her way to the UK for a few weeks.

FRIDAY, APRIL 18, 2014

Good morning sunshine ... except it's overcast. :-(  We're expecting stormy weather ... 3" of rain possible.

I love this picture of us on the boat ... Mark was the photographer.

On our way to The Villages ... last night.

Golfcarts everywhere ... outside Katie Belles. There are apparently 50,000 golf carts registered in The Villages.

Katie Belles ...

Flo couldn't believe the crazy retirees dancing and singing along with Neil Diamond's song "America". LOL.

After dinner, which was very good, we went across the street to "The Square" where there was more entertainment ...

Kris and Diane are into line dancing now and enjoying an active semi-retirement.

So, Mark suggested a ride through Eustis which involved a stop at my favorite, Peddlar's Wagon, then Mount Dora for shopping at the Life is Good shop. After that, we dropped in for a quick drink at Linda and Randy's.

About 6:30 we met Randy-man at The Hideaway for fish fry and drinks. It was a fun time ... food ... dancing and silliness.

It was a fun night !!!

THURSDAY, APRIL 17, 2014

Good morning! Mark is off to his lifeline screening ... a good baseline medical.

We had a good visit with Diane and Kris yesterday. Kris cooked fish and veggies with rice! Nice. The whole day was great.

Fishing is great at Georgia Boys in Satsuma, Florida. ;-)

Gulp!

We're off to the Farmer's Market for some bargains today.

Flo found a great hat for a return visit to Canada, eh.

Mark and Flo ... shopping.

After a quiet afternoon of Internet and laundry we joined Kris and Diane at The Villages for dinner. It was "a gas". LOL. Flo couldn't believe the active retirees ... it was a fun night.

Kris & Diane

Flo got "devil eyes" after 1 evening with cousin Diane!  LOL.  It was a fun time.
