WEDNESDAY OCTOBER 14, 2015

Dang, the days just zip by, don't they? It's nearly MID-October but my mind thinks it's more like August! It's time for marble rye toast and peanut butter; and to contemplate.

LOL. ( I loved Etch-a-Sketch! )

This morning, we dropped the Dodge off at Pep Boys for an oil change and tire rotation. While we were in the 'hood, we bowled two games. Our lane was in the midst of some elders, not the best bowlers, but "out there"! Haha. We decided to come home for lunch as the truck wasn't ready yet. (They recommended changing our brake fluid.) Mark phoned our dealer for clarification and found out that we should, every 60,000 miles if we tow. Ka-Ching!

Sue sent me a funny text that read, "Hack & Carol ..."  LOL. So now I know Jack and Carol are in Israel then going on a month long European cruise. Nice!

Randy was busy with plantation shutter window treatment installation today. Furniture had to be pulled away and replaced as the installer made his way through the house. (I can't wait to see them!) Randy and Dawn are planning a busy few days. Friday, they're meeting Greg and Sue in Daytona (Biketoberfest) for Friday night. Fun!

Tomorrow, we're pulling the RV out and readying it for Saturday's trip to Giant Recreation World. We hope it'll be a quick valve replacement.

Tonight, after a glass of wine, Mark made a Caesar Salad for us. (Then I remembered this in my file.)

Haha. Well, that's it for today. We're going to watch Fargo ... it's the start of season 2 tonight. Ta ta.

TUESDAY OCTOBER 13, 2015

Good morning. I was up in the night for a couple of Advil, but otherwise slept soundly. I believe, however, that I may have been over served last night! LOL

While we were at RanDawn's last night, our neighborhood bear was roaming. He broke down our next-door neighbors fence. Since this is the second time he's damaged their gate, I'm wondering what they're storing outside that's attracting him. (Mr. Bear wasn't interested in our property because of the stinky RV smell.) LOL

This afternoon was game day at Anita's ... and it was challenging! We tried a new game that no one had played. It sounded like fun, but it was too much confusion with 9 gals yakking. LOL

Mark enjoyed his afternoon scouting ...

LOL. When I came home just after 4 o'clock, he was snoozing.

Sue and Greg were the only bowlers in their group today. Where were Carol & Jack?

Nevermind, you both bowled well and burned a calorie. Tomorrow morning, Mark and I are dropping our Dodge off for an oil change and tire rotation ... and going bowling while we wait.

Tonight, we are watching the Democratic debate along with millions of Americans Ta ta til tomorrow!.

MONDAY OCTOBER 12, 2015

Good morning! It's "Columbus Day", a long weekend for many Americans, but an erroneous celebratory one. You see, evidence uncovered in past years, credits Viking explorers with "discovering" North America about 1,000.  Actually, that isn't correct either! About 12,000 BC Clovis people walked across a land bridge in the Bering Sea and worked their way southward over the next several thousand years. Oh well, enjoy the day. LOL

To our Canadian family & friends ...

Mark wanted to take our Dodge to Pep Boys for an oil change and tire rotation. PB was "out of oil" until their delivery tomorrow! Haha.

Further developments led to an odor emoting from our RV. Mark and I debated whether it was propane or sewer smelling. I made a call to Giant Recreation World, and made subsequent appointment for Friday. Apparently a valve may have stuck open allowing fumes into our RV.  Yucky! So, Friday, we are off to Wintergarden with the RV.

This evening, Dawn phoned to see if we would come for dinner. Yes! We had Dawn's delicious potato casserole, and Randy's blackened Grouper. It was all delicious. Afterwards, we started a game of Mexican Dominoes ... so many laughs ... over anything. Haha.

Randy coached Dawn ... but "wrong-o". Hahaha.
Dawn had her own luck lined up. LOL

About midnight, we headed for home ... all of us looking forward to our Savannah weekend. Ta ta.

SUNDAY OCTOBER 11, 2015

It's a nice start to our day! (I slept!) Our plans? Pontooning!

(I must ask Santa for a selfie stick!) It's a gorgeous 81F ... we went to Palm Gardens for breakfast.
It's rustic ... with good fuel (no ethanol) for the boat ... and good food!
As you see, Robbie is very into whatever Mark is into! Best buds!

This afternoon, Mark trimmed two palm trees and put the debris on the curb for tomorrow's pick up. We have plenty of palms ... two or three times a year he trims them.

Me? I am re-organizing and categorizing my eBay jewelry listings. It sounds easy, but each listing has to be brought up online, checked, updated and numbered. Corresponding numbers go on the boxes ... and, as Sue said, are stowed in chronological order. (I have a LOT of things for sale!) LOL. I'm a creative "machine!"

Happy hour was on the front porch. We were feeling lazy this evening after our Robbie walk. I put my hobby to bed, and Mark put Ancient Aliens on. Yay.

SATURDAY OCTOBER 10, 2015

Oh what a "loverly" morning ... Mom used to say that. Haha ... now why did that just come to mind? Actually, it was a crappy night's sleep for moi where I looked at the clock every 15 minutes. (Tonight, I'm going to cover it!)

So, chores done by 11 o'clock, we headed to our bowling alley. It's decorated for Halloween and looked spooky. Haha. Dawn was at work today, and Randy home painting; just Mark and I bowled.

It's a rare day when I get a better score than Mark. Very rare. Blue moon rare; yet it happened.

The second game, things were back to normal. LOL

Back home, Mark worked on the RV repair. The new fender skirt arrived yesterday. One of the slide panels needed straightening before anything else could be done.

The edge of our kitchen slide was rubbed by the tire.

Mark clamped and straightened it enough.

He didn't want to create a crease by overdoing it.

The new fender looks great and fit perfectly. There were some tire scuffs on the living room slide that buffed out with acetone. (Timichael told us about that fix for removing rubber!)

So that was our day. Mark cooked a great stuffed chicken breast and a potato casserole for dinner. Tonight, the Dolphins are playing ... it's TV time. Ta ta.

FRIDAY OCTOBER 9, 2015

Bonjour. It's been feeling like fall until last night when it hit 84°. Randy and Dawn were actually too warm on the motorcycle! They had been to visit Mary, Brandon and baby Brandon. (Apparently Dawn has been indoctrinated into our craziness. She said they were able to feed "it" when referring to wee Brandon.) LOL

This morning was housekeeping day. Yuck. LOL. Hey, it's got to be done. It was time to take the summer bedding off and put the winter duds on. It's really just a color change, but fun to do.

While I was home cleaning and doing laundry, Mark skittered off to Winn-Dixie to pick up some shopping. Money was burning a hole in his pocket. LOL. You see, he received a $10 off on $50 coupon in the mail. Now at Winn-Dixie, we earn gas points which amounts to money off at the pump, as well as many BOGO deals. He's become quite the good shopper. (Mark is a much better shopper than me! I look at my list, if it's not on the list, I don't buy it.) When I'd return home from shopping, Mark would say, "What did you buy for meals?" Hmmm ...

What I am saying here is, Mark does a fantastic job shopping and cooking healthy, from scratch, meals. (He loves to try new recipes and be adventurous.)

This evening, we met aunt Jane and Cliff for dinner at Red Lobster. Mark and I have sore necks from swiveling back and forth between their stories. LOL They are certainly enjoying life and keeping busy.

Back at home, it's a great TV night so I'll cut this short. Life is Good. Ta ta.

THURSDAY OCTOBER 8, 2015

Good morning. It's a lovely 66° and clear. Our high is going to be 82 ... perhaps a boat ride today?

This morning, Mark was up and out of the house by 530 to scout a new hunting area. He saw some BIG bear tracks but no deer today. Da Mountie handled well on the jeep trails!  Robbie and I were a bit lazier, not getting up until 7. (We sat outside for an hour on the back patio and listened to the birds ... and I drank a diet soda; ya ya, you know what I had. LOL

I spend most of my day making and listing a few Ebay items. Two items sold. Yay.

Mark's aunt Jane phoned today, and I ran for the phone, but missed it. When Mark phoned her back a few minutes later, we found out she and Cliff moved to a new house. This was very surprising as they had only moved into a villa a year ago! As it turned out, they didn't have enough room to unpack everything, so they went looking for a bigger house! (Randy always says, "Old people get goofy!") When Jane & Cliff popped in to talk with their 'old' Realtor, she had just the place for them! Well, apparently she was correct. They walked in the front door and said, "We'll take it!"  LOL  I think we will volunteer to give them a few hours help moving and unpacking. Tomorrow evening, we're meeting them at Red Lobster for dinner.

It's now 8:30 in the evening and WHERE did the day go??? Really!

Well, Randy and Dawn popped in after visiting with her son Brandon, Mary and new baby. We scratched our lotto tickets from the gutter ball fund ... $11 (yesterday!) No big wins but $7 won to buy another chance. (Not being a gambler, I thought we should have bought a bucket of beer and been done with it!) LOL. After scratching tickets, as it was already 6ish, we decided to have late happy hour on the boat ... in the boathouse. LOL

As you can see, Robbie was ready ... he'd go anywhere with his uncle and auntie. Tomorrow is a work-day for Dawn so they headed for home just after 8. It's always fun to see them. We've decided to have a joint RV trip to Savannah, Georgia at the end of October. We'll celebrate Randy's 36 birthday (oh my, that darn dyslexia flared up) LOL and Mark and my 21st anniversary. Wowser.

So that's it for today!
