WEDNESDAY OCTOBER 7, 2015

Good morning! We were up early for Mark's eye surgery follow up appointment. It was great news ... eye pressures down, way down! He no longer needs eye drops. Yay!

Last night, Sue sent bowling scores from their game. It looks like Jack got spanked! LOL. (Carol too ... but it wouldn't have fazed her.)

We met Randy and Dawn for dinner at Oakwood's then went for 3 rounds of bowling. Being $1 night, the alley was full. It was great fun! We always have lots of laughs!

Tomorrow, Randy and Dawn are going to see baby Brandon then maybe pop in afterwards.

Mark is going to scout another area tomorrow for hunting. I hope Da Mounty handles the jeep trails for him.

I've been quite busy making things for eBay and will be quite happy to putter tomorrow too.

It's impossible to be a tidy worker when creating. Haha. I needed a black bead or two then next thing I knew, this mess erupted. LOL

But, out of the chaos, voila ... a Red coral and Frangia Mother-of-Pearl necklace set.

So that was out day, mostly. How was your day?

TUESDAY OCTOBER 6, 2015

Here I am at 6:45 waiting for (routine) bloodwork. I will soon find out if the "natural" approach lowered my chlosterol. I hope so! Mark and Robs were still asleep.

Mark had some black line hidden away that he used to wrap the pilings with. I love it!

That "finishes" it. Well, things are always evolving around this place, LOL, but for now, it's finished.

This afternoon, we went to Randy's to check on his progress painting the living room and dining room. The new crown moldings really look great. (When Randy said we might trip over a few things, he wasn't kidding.) LOL. Dawn had to cook dinner the past few days!!!

As you can see, we led Randy astray and he did not finish painting today. LOL. Poor Dawn was at work so it was OUR duty to check on Randy-man's wine supply. Haha.

Yes, Robbie sat at the bar too. Haha.

When we got home, Mark whipped up a  most delicioso Bolognase sauce!

But, who put the sleeping pill in the Bolognase???

Ha! WHO can sleep like this??? (I have to be perfectly situated ... right temperature ... total quiet!!!) NOT ME!  Well, party of one! Yeehaw!

MONDAY OCTOBER 5, 2015

Good morning. I slept in until 830, but Mark left home at 5 o'clock for bow hunting! He certainly loves mornings in the woods. On his way home, Mark stopped to buy some pilings for our front door project. In the sales office, he saw a mounted deer head and commented, "That's what I was looking for today!" A conversation ensued, and long story short, Mark was given six good size pilings free. What a deal!

The morning news was all about the 1 in 1000 year flooding in South Carolina. I checked in with Olivia and Derek; their area is fine, lots of rain, but no flooding. This has been "another" year of worst case scenario weather events.

Happy Hour ... overlooking our "Pelican" display. Today was gorgeous! No A/C needed ... 74F and "dry"!

Mark's latest project. The first bird to drink ... a Bluebird! Cool.

Me? I made two jewelry sets ... a coral fossil stone necklace set, and double strand red coral cupolini necklace. (I haven't photo'd them yet.)

Sue was busy with eBay for Shizzle Rescue with several recent sales. Cool. Today is the 4th anniversary of Shorty's adoption.

Shorty Hot Pants looking content on his dad's lap. He's Wayne's doggie for sure.

Randy phoned today. He was painting again today; the crown moldings installation was completed yester day! It's nearly ready for us to drop in for HH. LOL.

I think that was our day! Tomorrow, our Dodge gets a well deserved oil change and engine wash. Ta ta.

SUNDAY OCTOBER 4, 2015

Good morning! It's washy-Sunday as we prep the RV for storage! Perhaps there will be a road trip month-end for our 21st anniversary?

Did you watch the Miami Dolphins playing football (against NY Jets) in the UK? I didn't see it either, but Mark did. He said the Dolphins lost but it was a good game. It's interesting that soccer, a.k.a. football in the UK, is making itself known in the USA while our American football is making itself known in the UK.

EBay sales have been reasonably brisk this weekend. I have five packages piled up by the door ready for the post office!

Yay! The GJ is in its port with the dehumidifier running. All is well, except, Mark found a ding from the Alabama repair team. Well, we know that one job leads to another. It looks like it'll take some buffing and polishing to remove his truck paint, and then a gelcoat repair.

The weather was absolutely perfect today at 75°. We had the front door open and Robbie wasn't sure what to make of it. At first, he sat at the doorway looking out. Then, he got brave, and sat at the doorway looking in. LOL. We're sure enjoying that front screened porch!

It's wine:30 ... and relax time after a busy day. Ta ta.

SATURDAY OCTOBER 3, 2015

Good morning from Forsyth Georgia where it's 55F and rainy. (Well we DID want some fall weather!) LOL

I washed bedding and towels before tidying up for our trip home. (Everything had been left after our interrupted trip home from Olivia's wedding!) About 10 o'clock we said bye to this KOA and began the 340 mile drive HOME.

Meanwhile, Bonnie sent this adorable picture from the Pennyslvania dog show.

And since we're talking hats ...
Diane is sporting a coral-pink hat for a "Villages High Tea" gathering. It's fun to have gal pals!

Cruising down I-75 enjoying ONE cookie each. LOL
The KOA gave us 3 cookies with our pizza order last night! Nice folks!

It was an uneventful drive, thankfully. LOL. We've had enough excitement already!  Arrived home in time for happy hour ... but we unloaded first! (I bet you're all surprised by that!). Ha.

Our friend Timichael (Timothy Michael) MAY be coming to Florida in 3 weeks to deliver his friend's RV to Melbourne. Of course we expect him here for a visit. FUN.

Tonight, we caught up on Ancient Aliens. Paul Hellyer, a Canadian defense minister was on the show ... worried. Hmmm, then we switched to the Florida Gators football game. And that's the end of our Blog.

Randy and Dawn are out celebrating an anniversary with friends Patti and Dan ... Sue and Wayne have gone to the Elks for dancing ... and we were invited to go toHurricanes to listen to a friend and her band, but we were too pooped. Ta ta til tomorrow!

FRIDAY OCTOBER 2, 2015

Good morning from 55° Alabama!  It's 9 AM local time, and we are on our way to pick up the RV.

Randy, Dawn and Grandson Brandon! (R & B used the same barber!) LOL

By 10:20 AM, Alabama time, we were on the road home after paying a bill of $1500.  Jerry's Mobile RV Repair service was terrific. According to Jerry, who has 30 years experience, the cause of our blown axle was over greasing the bearings. Since we had that done professionally two years ago, we will have to check our records at home. We may still have to replace a $300 tire, but hope we can do that at home.

Unfortunately, while we were in Florida the past two weeks, the refrigerator quit. We had plenty of propane but the battery drained running electronics of the refrigerator and lifting/lowering jacks. The  grocery had to be thrown out. (Mark just suggested adding a solar panel charger. A good idea.)

Today, Wayne is delivering a "load" to Shih Tzu rescue.

It appears "the shizzles" will be happy!

Speaking of happy ... we fueled up at Love's and had Subway for lunch. Usually Marky gets tuna but today I ordered! We had toasted cheese bread with steak, provolone, banana peppers and onions with mayo. Very good!

Traffic going around Atlanta was ridiculous today. We've been an hour and a half on the road with 34 miles left to go to our KOA Forsyth campsite. We arrived at 6:20, got our site number and ordered a pizza. The office features the Hunt Bros. pizza, custom-made and delivered by golf cart to our site. The pizza along with a big glass of wine was perfect for our dinner. Cheers.

We paid $2 for cable as Mark has a show he wants to watch this evening. Tomorrow, we have about a 5 Hour drive home ... no rush in the morning. So Ta ta for now.

THURSDAY OCTOBER 1, 2015

Good morning! We were up at 5 anxious to get "on the road (again)". Haha. By 7:15 we were rolling. It's a good travel day ... cloudy and 77F

About noon, we stopped in Perry, Georgia to mail our eBay packages. It's a lovely town with very friendly people. We had lunch at McDonald's and waited out a rainstorm. After a few minutes we checked NOAA and saw the storm was stationary! Hmmm; we gave up waiting and drove out of it in 5 miles.

Speaking of storms, our friends who winter in Marsh Harbour, will want to keep an eye on Hurricane Joaquin ...

The big blob of pink is the hurricane!

At 3:10 we stopped at Alabama Welcome Center on I-20W. It was a beautiful rest area and visitor center with rocking chairs on the back porch overlooking woods.

Back on the road, I spoke with Bradley at Jerry's RV. They were just finishing our RV repairs! Wow, great! So, we decided we'd drive to Tuscumbia Alabama to stay in a hotel there tonight. The traffic was much lighter past Atlanta.

While we were stopped on highway I 57 picking up our supper and feeding Robbie, I picked up my phone. It wouldn't turn on so I tried again. Nothing!  I thought 'oh gosh, I guess the battery's dead' but said out loud "It's gone kaput-ski." Siri came on out of the dark screen ... "I couldn't find  anyone named butt too ski in your contacts. Shall I try the Internet?"  LOL.

Well, we arrived at 7 o'clock at Key West   Hotel in Tuscumbia Alabama. It sounds pretty fancy, but believe me, it's not. I requested a smoke free room. The only thing smoke-free about this room is the maid left the door open for 10 minutes after the last smoker left. I can't stop coughing. Drat. This is just one of the reasons why we RV! And it's not "cheap"!

Okay okay ... We've enjoyed a liquid libation and mellowed our outlook. LOL. Dawn (and Randy) were at hospital when Mary, son Brandon's girl had baby Brandon. Confused? This is Dawn's first grandson! Yay.

It's now 9:45 and Marky's in la la land so Ta ta til tomorrow.

Do YOU think we got the NO SMOKING room???
