HAPPY HAPPY 7, 2015

It's MY day. Haha. Mark cooked eggs and sausages for breakkie and it's going to be 72F! A perfect recipe for a beautiful day! My birthday present was ordered and arrives Monday. Tonight, it's out to dinner with Mark, Randy & Dawn for "Lobstah"!  My favorite!

Okay ... as my dad always said, "What's the good of a birthday if you can't do what you want!" So, I'm going to just toss in a potpourri of clips I found funny this week and go for a mani-pedi.

Happy birthday to meeeeee ... LOL

Dog porn ... Haha

Liam Niessen from "Taken" ...
And, of course ... Chuck Norris! Ha!

We've all been to one of those parties ...
Ha ha ha, love the look on the dog's face! (Yep! I had ONE of those in my life!)

Great idea ... they'll be busy for hours!

This lady looks like a real version of "Maxine".
I'm sure glad I didn't carry on with cigars!

Party like its 1999!  Haha.
Sue & Diane ... This reminded me of Nan. Hee hee hee. She only needed 1 match for an entire pack.

Dinner was great, and a bottle wine and two much food. Randy & Dawn arrived with a bag full of gifts. One was a bottle of champagne. Yeehaw. The other, from Bath Works. Yeehaw. All in all ... a very good birthday!

We all came back home to watch Blacklist ... and more wine.

FRIDAY FEBRUARY 6, 2015

Bonjour! Gutten Morgan! Buor Giorno!

I'm up early ... laundry in piles ... and to wrap my Samsung tablet for shipping! Yes, another eBay sale!

The saga of my fur coat isn't over yet! An email arrived from the buyer saying said coat was "out for delivery to Leesburg, Florida!" Duh, that's where I shipped it FROM! After a flurry of activity, my friendly lady at our little Grand Island post office got it redirected to Massachusetts where it was addressed to go. Strange thing, it took 4 days to go 10 miles. (I pictured a hobo pushing the box along in a bent up shopping cart!!!) It's a good thing I had tracking on the box; but still the buyer is annoyed! I am too!

While we were watching the Super Bowl last week, Arizona was born at Warm Springs Ranch!

Watch for her in next year's Budweiser ad! Interesting patch around her eye ... South America?

It was a beautiful day! Mark trimmed 5 trees today and hauled the debris out front for pickup! Quite a job!

Just as I was sitting down to accomplish jewelry repairs, I had to run to the post office with another shipment. It's fantastic to be clearing some things out of the drawers and cabinets that I haven't used in a while. Today's shipment was my knee brace that fortunately, I no longer need! Yay.

Randy and Dawn are going to The Hideaway tonight. Mark is worn out from tree trimming, so we're going to just relax this evening. Tomorrow, he's is taking me for a lobster dinner for my birthday. Yum. Randy and Dawn are going to join us.

Isn't this a great invention! A cast printed on a 3D Printer ... with ultrasound therapy. Amazing, huh?

That's all folks. Tomorrow is MY day.

THURSDAY FEBRUARY 5, 2015

Good morning! It's 830, and I just got up.  AdvilPM did it's job. Not only did I sleep, I had a walk down memory lane. Haha.

Let me explain. I received a call from an attorney, who asked what I was doing with my house in Boca? Of course, I told him I sold it years ago! The attorney informed me my house was still there, just waiting for me to sort it out. Oh my!

So, I arrived on my old doorstep, walked in and saw all was in its place with a little layer of dust. One item I saw was a house-shaped basket on top of my kitchen cabinets. I always put rose petals in it from my rose garden to dry for potpourri. That house-shaped basket was a gift from Donna Johnson, a mortgage broker I did real estate business with. I hadn't thought of her in years. You see, Donna was found dead in her back garden by her horrified daughter 15 years ago!

All things I owned went through my mind like flipping catalog pages ... along with how I acquired it or who gifted it to me. It was bitter-sweet. So many family and friends had crossed-over; but there they were, safely connected, through a cherished item, now a memory.

In the garage was my trusty Ford truck! Yay! But didn't I sell it to Ryan? Then it came to me ... I was responsible for tidying all this up, and finding new homes for each item. What a big friggin' job!!!

eBay!!! That's what started the dream! LOL. I'm not just selling items but pieces of my soul. It was great visiting my old house and all the kindness attached to the curios. I've never had a problem GIVING things away ... so why would selling things provoke these feelings?

Did YOU sleep well? It's a dull-looking day after a night of rainfall. This afternoon it'll be tapering off though.

My job today is ... Chocolate cupcakes for my Ya Ya peeps. It's our monthly gathering, tonight at Carin's house. I offered to bring a dessert.

Mark had planned to trim the palm trees and crepe myrtles, but the rain ended that idea.

So, it was Robbie the Rascal's hair cut day! Here's the fluffer-nutter ...

Ravishing Robbie after ...
Next is bath time ...

Mark cooked two meat loaves today while I made chocolate cupcakes for Ya Ya's tonight. (Yes, I saved some for Mark & Lew!). Another lawn mower part was needed, so Mark took a drive for that while I tidied up.

A glass of wine together and I'm off to see "the gals" for my monthly therapy. Wine & pizza and laughs tonight. Ta ta

WEDNESDAY FEBRUARY 4, 2015

Good morning! It's a sunny, chilly start to our day. I don't know about you, but when the weather's like this, my joints HURT! Haha. I'm officially a geezer! Egad.

eBay sales were brisk overnight with three items selling. Most of the things have been inexpensive, but in this case, I sold a Jade ring I hadn't worn in 20 years! (We are definitely spending the kid's inheritance.) LOL. So I packaged and Mark took them to the post office and ran some other errands.  He fueled our Dodge truck for $46. Nice.

This afternoon, we went out to shop for me ... a particular birthday present. But, at Beall's, Mark bought himself a new Fryingpan ... for $65!!! If I had paid that, I'd want the pan TO FLIP the burgers for me. LOL. Of course he had to tell Randy to make him jealous! Oh, trouble in paradise with the big bromance.

I found a beautiful picture of my cousin Bobbie, Roberta Tawns, on her daughter's Facebook page.
I just love it. There she was taking pictures, and got caught in a wonderful one herself!

Sue and Wayne had a good picture taken on their cruise. There was plenty of dancing, and even a polka-band.
I remember couples dancing the polka at socials in Winnipeg. Someone was always tossed around and injured before the night was out! One woman I knew, Betty, fell during a polka and knocked out her two front teeth. We put them in a glass with ice, but she didn't get to the dentist soon enough! There was nothing they could do but make her a bridge. :-(

There's another cold front rolling down the country ... even Frosty wants to visit Florida!
Tonight, I have a date with my TV ... and Mark. Haha. I lit a fire, he's pouring the wine and I'm signing off for tonight. Ta ta.

TUESDAY FEBRUARY 3, 2015

Oh I'm up early this morning ... 3:30 ... and not a creature was stirring. Of course I savoured a Diet Sunkist Orange while scrolling through Facebook. (There was a bit of a cold front moved through and my body was feeling it! Yuck!)

So, yesterday was Groundhog Day ... and I saw a news reporter get bitten on the ear by "ol' Phil!" Haha.  Then I saw this on Facebook ...
bet the reporter sic'd his wolf on that groundhog. LOL

Mark and I were off to the post office, the Humane Society thrift store, and Home Depot running errands today! It was a busy day. I shipped 4 items sold on eBay!  Don't worry, our house still looks stuffed to the gills. I'd like to get enough space in my curio cabinets to showcase my nice China. It's a process.

wonder how Les & Lynne's dog sitting week was with the Shih Tzu's.
Haha. This week, the Stevenson's were busy with Brian & Jen's wedding held yesterday in Pompano Beach. (I hope they're not going scuba diving with this guy!) LOL
Haha. I'm going to make a wild (but educated) guess that this was taken somewhere in the Caribbean ... maybe St. Martin?

It's now 530 and we're on our way to Randy and Dawn's to play Mexican Dominoes tonight. Robbie is along for a visit!

Rick M ... we forgot to separate Randy and Dawn!
Haha. This was Dawn's play! Well okay.

Randy had a terrible time remembering to follow-up on a double domino played.
He's showing he forgot four times, and one extra finger for good measure. LOL.

We had a great time. Left about 930 as Dawn works tomorrow! Fun times.

GROUNDHOG DAY, 2015

Good morning!  How's Groundhog Day in your area?

LOL ...

I didn't sleep very well last night as I was worrying about packing my fur coat to ship to an eBay buyer! What a crazy thing to fret over ... but when things aren't "completed" ... well, you know. Haha. I had to make a box that would fit the right diameters for the post office and fit a full length coat. It wasn't easy and while I was taping, the coat was trying to pop out of the box! LOL. Mark was blissfully sleeping until he heard the sound of me taping the box. At nine o'clock, he took the packages (yes, I had to make another box for a jug!) to the post office for me. Nice! This little "hobby" that Sue got me into is W O R K.  But, fun.

This afternoon, we met Randy and Dawn at the bowling alley for a couple of games. Well we had more laughs ... The first game wasn't too bad, but the second game was terrible for all of us! $7 was added to the gutter fund by all except Mark!

Yep, that's about what our last game was. Haha. We're going to try again Friday!

Ah, yes, the reverse throw ...
I've been guilty of that a few times. We were all laughing so much we had sore stomachs!

Tomorrow, we're going to play dominoes at Randy's! More fun!

Hope your Monday was fun. Too bad the Super Bowl Parade was cancelled in Boston ... due to deep snow!

SUPERBOWL SUNDAY FEBRUARY 1, 2015

Good morning on this Super Bowl Sunday. Yay! Who are you pulling for? I'm for the Seattle Seahawks!!! Randy and Dawn are coming over to watch the game. It's going to be a house divided as Randy is staying with the Eastern conference lines. (Whatever.) LOL

Roger and Bonnie married today in Tulsa!
Congratulations and our best wishes!

Today is our friend Lynn Zido's birthday. She wanted to go bowling this morning, but, apparently, got vetoed by Lew. They will be over at halftime to scratch off Lotto tickets from our gutter balls two weeks ago. Haha. We have 18 scratch off tickets with the five of us, and seven tickets for the four of us. It's getting so confusing. Haha.

I heard from our buddy Timichael in Oklahoma today! He's had a houseguest for a while, and finally saw him!

This little guys been having one heckuva party! (White hair on the squirrel is reddish colored because of Oklahoma's red dirt.)

Look at the size of those dog biscuits! This is one fat squirrel. Ha.

Mark spent the better part of the morning in the kitchen getting things ready for our little partay later today. I actually went into the kitchen and made deviled eggs and sugar free Jell-O. (I'm not an overachiever in the kitchen nowadays!) Ha ha.

Randy arrived with a special bean dip and chicken wings ... plus a box of wine!

Robbie enjoyed some snuggle time with Randy & Dawn.

It was a very good game! Congrats to "The Pats" ...

Hope you had a great Sunday! Ta ta.
