TUESDAY, APRIL 8, 2014

Good morning. It's was a rainy start to our day but not as bad as forecast.

After paying bills and filing, we discovered our passports needed renewing! Oops. Fortunately, our pal Cindy works at that government office and came to our rescue. She took our glamor shots (ugly!) so the passport office should find them acceptable. LOL.

Meanwhile, Sue and Wayne went to the Shih Tzu rescue in South Florida that they support. This sweet fluffy bundle of energy is available ...

Sue with little Nicky ... rescued from the streets on Christmas Eve.

And, meanwhile, in Perth, Australia ...

at Nedlands Yacht Club ... our Australian family launching for a sail on the river.

Today, Wayne had a special assistant helping to seal envelopes ...

Shorty Hot Pants!

He's not all business though ... LOL.

Mark was impressed with our microwave pickup at Sears. He scanned the receipt at the doorway kiosk ... got a readout that Sean would be there in 15 seconds. And, Sean was ... with microwave!  Wow.   It's already installed, thanks to my Mr. Wonderful. :-)))

Enjoy your evening ...

MONDAY, APRIL 7, 2014

Are you feeling hot hot hot? Well yes! It went to 91 today ahead of a cold front.

Today, Mark cleaned gutters and I sorted beads for packing! It really wasn't much fun nor an exciting day ... but, it's things that had to be done.

On an exciting note, my cousin Flo is coming to visit next Sunday; we haven't seen her since May 2006 when she came with her parents and 5 siblings!

The "true north strong and free" has good beer. ;-). Looking forward to a REAL beer. Haha.

Kitty sums up this day pretty well. LOL

SUNDAY, APRIL 6, 2014

It's a brand new day ... and no plans! :-) Mark mentioned last night that he wanted to make special panini sandwiches for our breakfast!  How lucky am I??? Very lucky!!!

Fried egg, cheese, kubi & onion sandwiches toasted in the panini with chipotle sauce! And a diet Sunkist. Yummy.

Mark & Julie ... May 2013 ... Grand Canyon Railway. We put this on our Facebook page today; just for a change.

Since it's a hot day, we did our Kohl's shopping ... 2 shirts for Mark ... shoes and purse for moi. Dollar Tree (everything really is $1.00) sells decent can openers. We have given up on "quality" ones that cost $10.99 and break in 4 months!!!  So far, we're ahead of the game at the one month ... and it's opening the dog's Wellness cans just fine!  Woo hoo. LOL

The Lake County Fair was so busy today that we have decided to attend tomorrow evening. Sooo, it was Sunday Happy Hour at home followed by perogies for dinner. Tonight is GOOD TV ... Long Island Medium ... Revenge ... Selfridge's ... and an awards show. Enjoy.

SATURDAY, APRIL 5, 2014

A pair of Bluebirds visited our birdbath!

This is the first time we've seen them at our birdbath and feeder. The Bluebird of happiness times two!

Mr. Blue Bird ... enjoying a fluff.

Meanwhile ... April in Kenora, Ontario! It's been a long, hard winter! No wonder the squirrels started gathering last June!

Monty & Mary found their driveway snowed in upon arrival home! Wow.

It was such a beautiful day, Mark said let's go to Crazy Gators for lunch via Mrs R B. This beautiful limegreen spider came along for the ride ...

Cool, huh?

Lake Eustis was nearly flat ... 82F ... beautiful. A nice day !

FRIDAY, APRIL 4, 2014

Good morning!  Yaya's was good fun last night ... 18 crazy ladies dyeing Easter eggs and drinking wine. Sharon's home was decorated to the nines with Easter decor! She makes us feel special.

Today, we're going to lunch, aboard Mrs R B, along with Linda and Randy. It's another Chamber of Commerce day ...

My cousin, Flo, is coming to visit April 13 for 5 days! Yay!!!

Flo ... Skiing at Fernie Alpine Resort in British Columbia.

Linda, Randy, Mark and I had a terrific afternoon; sunshine and fair winds; burgers & chicken at Palm Gardens; and a ride on Lake Harris.

We saw a Woodduck with her 12 ducklings ... So fluffy and cute!

Linda had a good day. She moved her feet in time with the music!

Robbie got out of the sun by sitting next to Mark. Smart pup.

We got home around four, and Randy went out to hook up his battery. When he arrived about 1230, his truck horn was sounding intermittently. Maybe disconnecting it reset something. Let's hope.

This evening, Mark is loading frozen food into the RV freezers; ready for our trip to Marshall's and Savannah's wedding.

THURSDAY, APRIL 3, 2014

It's a perfect spring day! Our "Trumpet" fragrances the air.

Robbie loves his backyard! Lizards abound! Don't worry, the lizzies are fast and hide well.

Randy's garden is flourishing! Fresh salads coming up!

Our Bougainvillea is full ... it's so nice to see it through the living room window! Ah, spring!!!

This evening, Yaya's is at Sharon's house. I know Sharon, and she'll put on a large spread!!! She loves to cook and to bake and treat her friends very well. It's the last Yaya's I'll be able to attend until fall ...

Linda and Randy are dropping by this afternoon. Randy needs a couple of two by fours and thought Mark might have some squirreled away. He does! Two nights ago, Linda had a very bad fall. She got up from bed at four in the morning and tried to escape some demons ... and ran straight into the TV bureau and fell to the floor!  Randy felt horrible he couldn't move quick enough to grab her. When her head hit the floor, he said it sounded like a melon. The first words out of her mouth were "I'm okay."

Alzheimer's disease is debilitating, for the entire family. It's an absolute horror show. We all want to spend time with her, but she wants to escape us now. Linda is living in her own world, unknown and unseen by us. I feel extremely sad today.

Mark just got home from Winn Dixie ... we very nearly had a Jack Russell dog! The poor guy was running around the parking lot. Mark picked him up, and tried to find the owner. Finally he went into the store, holding the little dog and asked a clerk to take his phone number in case someone was "looking". When he walked out the door, Mark noticed a "redneck" looking around and called to him. The long and short was, yes it was his dog; "He don't mind me! I told him to stay in the car!" WTF? This goofball had 3 other dogs in his car with the windows wide open. Mark said to him, "You're lucky I'm going on a trip and have two Scotties at home or I would have taken him!"

Linda was placid today. The extra medication at bedtime slowed down the panic modes. It was a good visit. :-)

WEDNESDAY, APRIL 2, 2014

Good day, eh? How was your April Fool's Day?

Several motorists screeched to a halt when they saw the skid mark and ...

a flying saucer???

A few were brave enough to get close ...

But the lid opened, and they couldn't back away quick enough!!!  LOL

Meanwhile, in today's news ...

OMG ...

Taki's pizza filled the bill at L & R's ...

Mark was "One lucky bastard!", according to Randy-man.

So, Randy had it lined up to the very last shot on the table. It wasn't a gimme, but it was doable.

Wa-waa-waa!

BUT ... Ta-daaa ... Randy-man won the next game; Fair and square!!!

The celebratory wave, photo bombed by Mark! LOL. In the end, Randy won four games!!!

Robbie was dog tired from watching all the antics.

Mags is refereeing from the sidelines.

Scott E. ... I sent you a video of Randy's awesome winning moment to www.plumberscrack.org ... I'm not sure if you got it???  LOL
