Earlier, we puttered about then went to Home Depot to pick up supplies for our table and chairs project. We had the drawer from the buffet with us to color match paint. The table base will be the "antique white" while the parquet tabletop will retain it's dark good looks. Mark worked on the chairs and got the backs apart and seat cushions off. This is a good quality Thomasville vintage set. Lucky us. A fun "project"!!!
On the drive to Home Depot, we popped into the Leesburg Humane Society store so I could drop off 30 items I've been making (and gathering) for donation. Then, it was my lucky day as a "Snoozer" pet bed (for the car or truck) was there! We've been wanting one for Robbie ... so that he can sit up higher and see out the window! Voila! $7 and it was ours. Nice.
At 3 we met RanDawn for our weekly bowling games. Lane 16 was challenging! It was tough to get a strike on that one.
Mark and I arrived before Randy & Dawn and had time to enter a nickname on the monitor "Rubber Band Man" for Randy. He didn't know until he got a spare on the first frame. Haha.
That's our guy!
Like I said ... Lane 16 was challenging!
Randy and Dawn came back to the house to see Robbie and have happy hour drinks before we went to IchiBan for dinner. (We put a hurtin' on the shrimp platters tonight!) Little Dawn has THE BEST appetite of all. LOL. She's a hoot.
So, we're now back home to watch the Tampa Bay Lightning in game 1 of the Stanley Cup playoffs.
Sue and Wayne called ... all's well at the cottage. They visited Jim's monumental project and were amazed by its size! What a property! Tonight, they were enjoying a movie while, outside, it rained.
That's all for today! Ta ta.
