SATURDAY, NOVEMBER 15, 2014

Good morning sunshine. It's a bright beautiful day, but a little chillier than normal.

Mark and I were up early and off to the Verizon store as Mark's contacts didn't load onto his new iphone. It just took five minutes to upload and we were out the door again. Next, it was off to Home Depot for a chunk of metal !  What for? Mark is reinforcing our south side gate at the house. I asked him to draw me a picture of what he had in mind, but I see he bought this hunk of metal. Hmm, I smell a rat.

Randy and Dawn were setting up Christmas decorations yesterday. Randy found a beautiful candle, new in the box. They both liked it, set it on the dining room table and lit the candle. They were enjoying a glass of wine in the living room, adjacent, when the ornament fell from the upper frame, splattered melted wax all over the table which burst into flame! Randy burned his fingers, but fortunately, LOL, not his bowling fingers! The dining table sustained some damage but it was a good thing they were nearby when it happened. (I told him Carol C's story about a Glade candle that burst into flame in her bathroom!) So, Randy and Dawn were busy cleaning up wax seeped into the wood table before spending some of their afternoon at The Hideaway. Dan hired a two man act from Nashville for the weekend's entertainment!

This afternoon, Mark and I attempted a ride to the Palm Grill for lunch. However, Mrs R B was running so rough we turned around and came home! Alas, $$$ needed for Rob, our boat mechanic. Mark tried a few "maintenance fixes", but no luck! Help!

Robbie and Maggie, cuddled in her pink sweater, enjoyed a brief ride on the Lake before we had to turn around.

So we met Dawn and Randy at the bowling alley, and had two games. As it turned out, Mark's new/old bowling ball is a 14 pound curveball; just what he would have bought new! Wow. He did very well with it!!! Randy almost got a turkey, but choked right at the last second ... and missed the turkey by one pin!!!

As you can see, Randy is high score at 143! When he reaches 150, he can buy a new bowling ball. Haha. We had lots of fun, and as Mark says, we burned a calorie!
