Star Children among us? Unusually intelligent children are becoming more common ... high energy, high intelligence, 140 IQ at age 4; reading fluently at age 10 months, PHD in molecular science at age 6; the list goes on and on and covers thousands of children worldwide! DNA from the Star Child skull recovered from the Copper Canyon in 1930 showed micocondria DNA but no nuclear DNA, hence no father. My favorite science show spooked me last night ... but I watched it again this morning ... this time with Mark. (I'm not sure how my love of scientific shows mixes with his Catholic upbringing!) LOL We find it fascinating though and have a gifted child in our Tawns family.

So, good morning! It is a beautiful sunny day, finally! It is very unusual for us to have more than a day or two without sunshine, and we were sluggish because of it.

Mark helped a neighbor pull two diseased  orange trees from his yard with our Dodge. I uploaded photos onto ancestry.com and watched Olympic coverage.

Our London family ancestors ...

My mother, looking elegant, as always, circa 1940.

Mark's sister, Pam, called.  We caught up on news but, unfortunately, she can't make it for a visit this winter. We had such a great time when she visited last year.  There are two weddings in the family this year, so time off work is needed for those.

This evening, Mark and I are going out for lobster dinner. ;-) Mark offered to take me for my birthday, but we were too full after our lunch at The Garden Gate on Friday. So tonight is "rain check" night.

Ta ta for now.
