THURSDAY, NOVEMBER 14, 2013

At 10:45 this morning, we left Paradise Island RV Resort for Central Florida. Its 74°F due to a front that moved through the region yesterday. Mark couldn't resist honking the horn as we approached the intersection of 21st and Oakland. We had a laugh ... we were just part of the traffic din.

On the nicer side of things, a large flock of Amazon Parrots were in the tree when Mark took the Scotties out this morning.

Pretty Polly and pals in our tree.

There's a wider diversity of parrots found in South Florida than anywhere else in the world!!! These birds were escaped or released pets that successfully survived, bred and thrived in the South Florida climate.

The exotic pet trade has been bad news for Florida's native critters. Nonnative species that have made South Florida home include Iguanas, Burmese python snakes, boa constrictors, Nile monitor lizards, muscovy ducks and peacock bass, among others. Currently, South Florida has 42 species of nonnative lizards ... all released pets.

Traffic is very light this Thursday morning!  It's a good travel day, thus far. We stopped at noon to walk the doggies and make lunch at Stuart's rest area and were "On the Road Again", thank you Willie Nelson, by 12:20.

Mark and I feel like we're part of the TV show, "American Pickers"!!!  We're coming home with more things than we left home with. LOL. We're delivering a  console table to Diane from Sue, and we have Wayne's (extra) wine fridge!!!  The funniest part of this is, while Mark was loading it, Wayne happened along and asked, "Where's that going???"  Hahaha ... Sue has some "splaining" to do.

Julie and Maggie, travellin'

Arrived home at 3:45 pm. It was a good trip!
