Good morning! My mother loved to trick us girls first thing in the morning ... and we always fell for it! Here's to you, Mom!

Cheers!

Reynolds Wrap?

Hahaha ...

April Fool's Day has been celebrated for centuries!

Imagine the street scene in Copenhagen in the early hours of the prank! Fantastic.

Great effort was put into a one day ad ... and here we are looking at it nearly 100 years later! Ha.

Taco Bell bought the Liberty Bell? Who knew?

This prank was a year in the making!

Here's one for your business, Jim G.

I wonder how many turned up to watch!!!

Virgin's glass bottomed jet ... I'm willing to bet hundreds called for a window floor seat on that plane! Well done!

Can you picture the gullible people who went to Burger King and ordered a left-handed whopper??? LOL

Virgin Atlantic advertised their newest trip ... through the earth instead of around it! Much shorter distance. LOL

Rosemary Farm has unicorns for sale ... $1 million each.

I hope you pranked someone today!!! We did. ;-)

MONDAY, MARCH 31, 2014

Can you believe it's the last day of March? Did it come in like a lamb and go out like a lion? Or was it more lion and lion ???

We're starting to get our minds around two nephew weddings this spring. One we can attend with a schedule change but the other we cannot. We really hate to miss a wedding and a chance to see family ... Mark refuses to fly at the moment!

Today, we had errands to run and a visit to Lowes. Our GE Profile Convection/Microwave is kaput, for the second time in 2 years.  Lowes suggested we speak to GE about repairing it, but that went nowhere! Their technician said microwaves don't last that long, so it's time to replace it. Mark and I decided it's time to give up on GE appliances!

That's the dead appliance. Too bad. This is such a throwaway world, when it is not worth fixing.

So, after dinner we went to Sears and Home Depot to shop. Sears was the lucky supplier ... but we have to wait a week for delivery. How are we going to manage a week without "zapping" dinner. We're certainly using a lot more pots and pans at the moment doing everything stovetop!

Tonight, we're just going to be at home to catch up on our favorite TV shows. Tomorrow, we're going to pick up pizzas and take them to Linda and Randy's for dinner.

Ta ta.

SUNDAY, MARCH 30, 2014

Well it looks like a good day coming up! We have sunshine and 68 ... expecting a high of 75° ... a perfect day for boating!

This blog has been temporarily censored by my sisters, although I cannot tell you who they are. Hahaha.

One sister got a new car although I can't tell you the color nor what it is!

Another sister feels that I should not give the other unnamed sister a glass of wine because it could interfere with her medications!

Another sister may have purchased something at an auction, unnamed, that I may have made, but we're not sure. LOL.

Secret NATO Crypto today ... Regular blog resumes tomorrow ... If they don't want me to report it, they best not tell me. LOL. Blah blah blah.

Telegraph, telegram, tell an elevator man ... Or his wife. :-)))

SATURDAY, MARCH 29, 2014

Good day matey!

We may be in for a shower or two today! Bob & Virginia are going to the boat show for the day, they hope! Umbrellas at the ready today!

Mark is sleeping but last night's onion rings and hot wings washed down with mediocre wine woke me with a rumbly-tummy. Gee, I wonder why? My mind still thinks my body is 20 ... LOL.

Crap! I think we're in for a spring storm!

The rain cleared up around 3 o'clock and we went to meet Randy at the Fleetwood Storm Class A at the RV show. He seemed quite impressed with it. Linda was relaxing and enjoying sitting in mom's former wheelchair. That seat belt came in handy. Haha.

Tonight, we are going to Vincent's  Italiano for dinner and drinks.

FRIDAY, MARCH 28, 2014

Good morning sunshine! Today is the start of the antique boat show ... but, we both feel like puttering around the house today!

Meanwhile, Donna and Dennis sent this picture of their season-opener for walleye fishing at Lake of the Woods ...

LOL ... Perhaps we don't want to head north just yet !!!

So I'm officially not touching anything electronic today. I tried to microwave my lunch ... the microwave quit working, then billowed smoke. Fortunately, my lunch was ready. LOL. The offending appliance is a GE profile convection/microwave oven. It's been a piece of crap since the day we bought it. Twice now we've had to pay for repairs, and it wasn't purchased til September 2009 ... Repaired February 2011 ... And now March 2014. Maybe this sounds good to you, but remember we were in Oklahoma City for year and a half in our RV, and also away four and a half months last summer traveling. The darn thing hasn't had much use!!! In comparison, the Apollo convection/microwave oven that we have in the RV, cooks better than this GE product and is reliable. Rant ended.

Randy at ALS LANDING. ... nice crown dude. So we met Randy, Virginia, Bob and Nick at Al's Landing in Tavares for drinks.

It looks like Randy has googly eyes for Nick. LOL. Something must've been very funny!

Randy wanted to dance, but Virginia, who loves to dance, had a very sore, swollen foot!  So, Randy went up by himself but soon found plenty of partners!

One lady came back with a dollar to pay him for a dance!  Rockin Randy is born, again!!!  LOL. We all has a lot of fun, and the music by Alan Darcy was great!!!

Virginia & Bob ... in town for the antique boat show this weekend. Party on!

THURSDAY, MARCH 27, 2014

It was cool enough to enjoy the hot tub this morning ... A nice way to start the day!  It's now 8:20 AM, and I've already completed two loads of laundry, fed the dogs, emptied the dishwasher and made three new necklaces! What an over achiever. LOL. Now, it's coffee and watch the news time.

After getting our alarm finished and morning chores done, we went to Ruby Tuesday's for lunch and then shopping. La Mesa RV has an RV show at the mall ... We saw a perfect rig for Randy; and for Rick, Ruth and Daisy ... a Fleetwood Storm with V10 Triton engine, a generator and one slide.

It's very nice!!! The layout is very roomy.

Tonight, we're having dinner at home ... Spaghetti and Meatballs and wine.

Here's the layout of the one Randy might be interested in.

Speaking of Randy, he just called, and they are popping in for a drink! Mark says  Randy is excited and wants to go see this RV!  LOL

WEDNESDAY, MARCH 26, 2014

Good morning y'all. It's going to be a chilly day, perfect for our planned project.  The high today will be just 64!!!

Our new alarm system in being installed today and tomorrow. This will create extra cleaning and touch up painting for us this week. Two homes were broken into in the last six months in our neighborhood. Both robberies occurred midday!!! In both cases, our neighborhood Crime Watch got descriptions and photos of the vehicles ... perpetrators were arrested. There are some terribly desperate people around!!!

It was also a busy day with paying bills and a mani-pedi too. Hey, a girl's gotta' have some pampering. :-)

The day before Sue & Wayne's dog attack, they bought new bar stools for their kitchen island.

They look nice!

Today, Sue called to say Julius was very restless last night ... and possibly overdosed on pain pills. The vet sent pain meds home with Wayne and Julius ... Sue quickly read the bottle and gave the little guy a pill at bedtime. He was so restless, just couldn't settle down.  In the morning, she read the dosage as 1/4 pill. We think Julius was likely tripping out!!!

Tonight, we tried to cook pizza in our convection oven ... it didn't work!!! WTF? It's scarcely been used and was replaced in 2011 ... and we were away in the RV for 20 of those months. It's a GE ... which used to be a quality brand. Hmm

We're going to relax with the doggies on our laps tonight. Tata for now.

TUESDAY, MARCH 25, 2014

Good morning! We got up fairly early, Mark began cooking scrambled eggs and bacon while I set the dining room table and made toast. Lynne tidied up while Les loaded the trunk. We had a good breakfast and they were on the way home about 9 o'clock.

Lynne and Les ... wearing shorts for the last time for a few months. They'll be in jeans later today.

Yesterday, while we were shopping, Lynne bought me some beautiful spring Tulips!

Apparently, putting a penny in the bottom of the vase with the water helps to straighten and strengthen the tulip stems!!!  This really works!

Sue called to say poor Julius had been attacked by their neighbors big dogs and was at the vet for ex rays. Wayne was walking Shorty and Sue had Julius. The attacking dogs got out of the yard when a pest control service left the gate open. :-(

Sue called again at 5:35 to say Julius has two puncture wounds and is on pain pills and antibiotics and will be fine. Good news. Poor guy.

Here he is, resting at home!

MONDAY, MARCH 24, 2014

Good morning. It was supposed to rain later today, so Lynne and I went shopping in the morning ... Bells, Hobby Lobby, and Walmart ... but no rain! When we got home and looked at the weather radar, it had evaporated. :-)

Love this idea! Mark thinks this would save us fuel costs. Haha. But ... Lynne and I bought wine today!!! LOL Tonight, we're having dinner at Linda and Randy's; Chicken Marsala minus mushrooms. It was delicious, along with four bottles of wine!

Les enjoyed dinner!  Hahaha; and Randy.

Afterward dinner, we played pool in the Harley room. Mark beat everybody in the game ... But we kept trying!  Haha. Les says if we play long enough, Mark will wear out!!!

The little devil won!!!  Hahah Love those eyes. Yikes.

Randy was not daunted ... he played very well. but more practice is needed.

Lynne was coaching Randy ... with a foot on the butt.

It was a fun night ... home by 11:30.

SUNDAY, MARCH 23, 2014

Clouds??? Maybe that's why we all slept late! Les was the last one to wake at 11 o'clock. LOL.

Last night's Mexican Dominoes was fun. Les was convinced he had a silver train, even though it was actually yellow! Both Lynne and Mark went the same time to mix themselves another drink; when Lynne returned, she took Mark's seat. Les and I didn't notice! Mark came in and said "Hey! You're in my seat!!!" LOL

Everyone went to bed around midnight, but I stayed up and created a car charm for Lynne's new family member, Jen.

Today, we are going aboard Mrs. R B to fuel up, then a ride through the Dora Canal to Wooton Park on Lake Dora to watch the classic boat races.

We're taking our own lunch aboard, just in case there's nowhere to dock.

A seaplane landed beside our anchorage ... too bad the clouds had moved in!

Les was laying down, relaxing, until Maggie barked and asked him to move over! What a brat! LOL

Lynne and Robbie, snuggle buddies.

We headed home at 4, regrouped and went to Stavros for dinner ... excellent.

SATURDAY, MARCH 22, 2014

Wow! Another "Chamber of Commerce" day ... 76 and sunny.

At noon, we're going to The Hideaway for their first annual ...

We had to wait for a docking spot ... it was very busy! Randy met us, caught the lines and had a table waiting!

Lynne and Randy with the stage behind.

We tried to leave about 3:30 but our waitress couldn't find our tab. Finally about 4 we left money with Randy and headed out.

Amphibious car going to The Hideaway ... not enough freeboard for my liking!

Lake Harris was very pretty today ... Mark lit a cigar while Les looked totally relaxed.

We arrived home at 4:30 ... the dogs had been sleeping, no problem.

Lynne and I ... "Biker chicks" today. LOL.

Tonight we're going to play Mexican dominoes, so Tata for now.

FRIDAY, MARCH 21, 2014

Happy birthday Lynne!  It's a lovely 75 degrees with full sunshine ... Lynne headed out for a walk! The rest of us are sitting in front of morning TV with coffee.

About 11 o'clock, we decided on a boat ride down Haines Creek to see the heron chicks.

Lynne and Robbie, soaking up sunshine.

We cruised to Lynn & Lew's boathouse and picked them up.

As we passed Mid Florida Lakes community, a fellow Marine spotted Lew's lid and hollered "Semper Fi"!

The Burrell Lock was busy today with boaters traversing to the Lake Dora antique boat races.

Mama Heron was guarding her nest and we heard plenty of squawking as we cruised past, craning our necks to see two fluffy ones crouched down. This tree was also loaded with nesting cormorants.

Les looked as if he'd had a tough winter vacation. LOL. Actually, he tripped at Sue and Wayne's earlier in the week and hurt his knee. We suggested "ice" yesterday, and he did put extra in his drink. Haha.

After a quiet afternoon of napping and reading, we readied ourselves for dinner at Pisces Rising.

Lew and Lynne are meeting us there, too! They had planned to be in Hilton Head visiting family, but their plans changed last minute!  Lynn loves Alan Darcy and says she's his groupie. LOL

Oh my ... a great "selfie". LOL

The Pisces Rising party.

Happy birthday serenade.

It was GREAT fun!
