FT LAUDERDALE - LEESBURG

Wednesday, Feb 27 ... 67 degrees at 7:15 am as we pulled out of Sunshine Holiday after a great week of fun. Last night was Bella Roma with Linda, Randy, Sue, Wayne, Lynne, Les. Carol and Tim Bird. I hadn't seen Tim Bird since the 1980's. Although he looks fantastic, he has been off police duty for 18 months with nerve pain following a car crash.

Brunch at the Bannister's

Enjoyed a delicious birthday lunch and a gift of 50' hose from Rod and Shay. A couple of champagne bottles later and lively conversation we headed back to the RV park to check on the doggies. It was a great time!! They are such wonderful friends!!! We are happy to hear They are going on a Celebrity cruise March 23rd with family.

Isabella's 2nd Birthday

Sue and Wayne are graciously hosting a BBQ so we can celebrate Izzy's big day. Linda & Randy, Carol & Jack, Lynne & Les, Tiff & Matt with Hailey & Izzy. It's going to be a warm 87 degrees ...

Ashes to Sea

Beautiful memories are a wonderful thing, they last through the longest day, they never wear out and they never get lost and can never be taken away.

Today, the 13th anniversary of releasing Dad's ashes to sea, we released Mom's ashes to sea, within 100 yards.

To mark the occasion, we opened champagne along with a package of Mom's favorite Oreo cookies and toasted to a wonderful life, well and truly lived. We love you Mom, forever.

Sunshine Holiday

We arrived safely about 11:15 am to Sunshine Holiday and backed into our site with the 'help' of 4 Frenchies. We walked down to see Diane Henry and had a good visit. This evening, we are going to Sue & Wayne's for pizza on the patio with Les, and Lynne Stevenson. We tried to have a nap, but it's noisy here compared to Central Florida. There are news helicopters flying around covering a news event.

Leesburg to Fort Lauderdale

Wednesday, February 20 6:26 AM 61°F. We begin our journey south to Fort Lauderdale as the RV must be out of the driveway well Simplex installs the new boathouse.

As it would be, Simplex was not to complete our new boathouse until late March!

PREPARATION FOR 2013 BIG TRIP

Mark and I began plans for our Florida to California to British Columbia to Ontario RV adventure.

We sat down with our atlas and travel mates, Sue and Wayne Kurian, and decided what we'd like to see enroute.

Linda and Randy St Germain sold their Beach Haven (Pompano Beach) property and are in the process of moving to our Lake County where they already have a home. Anyway, the timing of this is perfect ... and we have invited them to join us on our BIG trip. It's going to be a blast to have them along !!!
